I know this is all over the news, and this should be in the prayer forum but the shooting in Aurora has hit pretty close to home for me.

One of the victims that is in ICU right now is someone I loosely know. Please keep her in your prayers, the last I heard she was out of a 6 hour surgery and doing well. Her brain is still swollen.

Also a friend of mine I worked with two summers ago was shot at and narrowly missed, the drywall next to him got sprayed on his face.

The more I hear about who was there, I recognize some of the names. Scary

Thanks. <3

Remember not only the families and friends of the victims, but the police and fire officials who were first responders, seeing that kind of carnage is emotionally traumatizing and will affect them possibly for years to come. Pray for the police who are continuing the investigation and the prosecutors who will be taking this case to court for justice, a minor misstep by them could set the accused free on a technicality.

This isn't going to be popular, but pray for the family of the accused, they are carrying a burden I can't imagine knowing that the child they raised did something like this. Likewise pray for the man who commited this massacre. Although our first instinct is to condemn him, he is still one of God's creation who needs a Savior.

yes, yet another tragedy occurring almost weekly across the country, America is ripe for judgement, and I pray dearly for all those who lost loved ones in Colorado.

What is the remedy to this evil and mayhem?

Eze 18:26 When a righteous one turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity and dies in them; for his iniquity that he has done, he shall die.
Eze 18:27 Again, when the wicked turns away from his wickedness that he has committed and does that which is lawful and righteous, he shall save his soul alive.
Eze 18:28 Because he looks carefully, and turns away from all his sins that he has committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
Eze 18:29 Yet says the house of Israel: The way of Jehovah is not fair. O house of Israel, are not My ways fair? Are not your ways unfair?
Eze 18:30 So I will judge you, O house of Israel, each one of you according to his ways, says the Lord Jehovah. Turn and be made to turn from all your sins; and iniquity shall not be your stumbling-block.
Eze 18:31 Cast away from you all your sins by which you have sinned; and make you a new heart and a new spirit; for why will you die, O house of Israel?
Eze 18:32 For I have no delight in the death of him who dies, says the Lord Jehovah. Therefore turn and live.

It all begins in the house of God, and professing Christianity, which is supposed to be a strong example for the lost world to see, but most churches do not preach real repentance and faith, they save people still in bondage to sin and disobedience, Thus the example the church is supposed to be setting is way off the mark!

If the truth went fourth as is did all throughout the book of Acts, where repentance unto God and faith unto Jesus Christ, all proven by deeds was preached right from the start, then I believe the world would not be in the moral mess its in today!

Yes Christianity is to blame, sending out a lukewarm message, telling the lost they can get saved IN thier sins, and God will clean them up, because He feels sorry for you!

They teach we are born depraved, have no choice until we get saved in our depraved state, and then Jesus will cover or cloak you in His righteousness.

This is just a small taste of what is being taught today as truth, and no wonder the state of the churches who say even a vile child molester doesnt have to stop molesting children to get saved, is found poor. blind, and naked!

There is not much difference today between the church and the world, they all have similar divorce rates, most professing Christians are in some form of bondage, just check out Promise Keepers, and all the thousands of men who are addicted to porn, and adultery, which the mega preachers tell them its not good, but as long as you said the sinners prayer, you are saved, and even falling into porn addiction will not disqualify you from the kingdom, while many scriptures say other wise!

Woe to those who defend sin, then get upset over the condition of the world, who preach holiness, but say repentance isnt mandatory to be saved, they are leading the lost into a ditch, where the cry of John the Baptist is covered by thier safe, and compromised message, of God hates the sin, but loves the sinner, while they keep adding to the mess our country is in!

Pray for revival, on the scale of Nineveh! Its the only hope of true heart purity, where the sin stops in repentance, or the heart hardens!

Otherwise the evil will continue, until Almighty God says no more, His long suffering wont last forever, as He commands all to repent or perish!

Its the days of Noah I am afraid, the muck and evil is thick, the deception in the churches is vast, and few if any care, as they sit in the pews every Sunday, feeling at peace when there is no peace! Thier pastors tells them all is well, America is blessed and favored by God, the evil is outside the church,we are safe, even though most are wallowing in many addictions and sins of the flesh, having received the mark, that tells them they can sin and will not die!

Rev 2:5 Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and will remove your lampstand out of its place unless you repent.

Let the church today repent, and set the example for the lost world to follow!

Very well said, Oncefallen.

I pray too that no one else is injured as they attempt to dismantle his boobytrapped apartment today. Father, protect them all.

I just heard the testimony of a young man named Devon Suits, who is going to be a college football player, on CNN about Jesus Christ being his Lord and Savior, and giving praise to God for protecting him and helping him in the theater.

He said something else I hope a lot of people heard. Seeing people mowed down like that is nothing like what it seems in movies and video games.

The testimonies about GOD are definitely showing up.

Here is a video about the girl I know that got shot:

The doctors had doubts about her making it through the first night, and she is now starting to speak and walk again. How great is our GOD!!!

And some more reading, about the miraculous path of the bullet through her head. :) A Miracle Inside the Aurora Shooting: One Victim’s Story « celtic straits

The miracles are still coming out of this tragedy. One of the survivors who was shot in the abdomen twice was pregnant. Her unborn child survived.

The baby's father is in a coma right now. He protected his wife and unborn child. He's one of those amazingly brave men JimJimmers talked about in another thread. God be with them all. <3
