I am recently separated from my husband of 4 years. It has been so hard, but the marriage was unhealthy for me and my boys. I consider marriage sacred and tried to hold on as long as I could, but could feel the love leaving and feeling so abused by him, I just couldnt anymore. I kept asking myself, Is this the life God intended for me or the life I chose? I cant blame God for my poor decisions, but now I am paying dearly feeling like i lost everything in day. Anyone have advice or just words of encouragement for me please?

Sorry to hear about your marriage. But i guess the best encouragement is at least you're out of a bad situation and now have the rest of your life to live happy and make better choices.

This being the singles section, and the majority of us having never been married, may not be the best place to seek advice on being recently divorced though.

There are probably some divorced people who visit this forum who may be helpful to you. I've seen divorced people with children post in the family forum too.

I pray this experience will draw you close to the Lord and that He will give you wisdom with regard to your children during this difficult time.

This section is a 'singles support'. Its here for other singles to help each other with the stress of being single and encourage each other, and have some fun.

True, Julianna, there may be a 'few', but the majority still seem to be single. So thats why i suggested another forum may have a higher rate of divorced people, or people going through marital problems, such as the Family forum.
