This is a popular idea, started from Hollywood probably, that life will be better if you find "true love".

My questions are: What is true love?

And is it possible to live happily ever after?

For my part, my parents have as fairytale perfect relationship as is possible, it's a hard one to beat. I start thinking I'll work harder and be happier if I had someone to share my life with. Is there any truth in this?

hello everyone, there is only one perfect and true love and that is the love that God has bestowed on His children through Jesus...turn to God in love through Jesus and turn from your sins so you can be reconciled to God in love through Jesus and experience His perfect and true love for all eternity rather than be punished in hell forever

well, anytime humans get involved, the ability to really gum things up results.

it takes two to make any relationship work, and both of their wills have to be submissive to God, or it will not ever happen.

since my late spring disaster, i have to admit that i have learned more about relationships by not being in one - by listening to the woes of others and asking questions mostly offline. also some of the members on CC are quite insightful.

conversely, i have seen how we justify ourselves in whatever state we wish to be in, our actions we wish to take - and then blame it on God when we foul up.

if anything I have learned how fragile relationships are and how one can not carry the load of an entire relationship.
