I live in upstate NY and my kids and I were watching a movie together when all of a sudden we felt the house shake and heard this tremendous boom. We all jumped up and I told my kids to get away from the window. I ran outside thinking a tree fell over in my yard. I have this huge tree in my yard that I was worried about with the winds and rain. It wasn't my tree. I went to the other side of my house next to where my neighbor lives and there rests a tree, torn out of the ground, laying against my house!!!!! My children and I were sitting on the couch where the tree fell!!! If it wasn't for the fact that the tree is only 6 feet from my house, it would have fallen through from the force of the hit. People came running from down the street because they heard the hit. I was never so scared in my life. All I could say was, "Thank you Jesus for protecting us."

Thank you so much!!! I honestly think that was one of the hardest moments for me after I realized we were all safe. It was realizing I had no friends I could turn to for help. I ended up getting in the car and driving us all to my parents. Thank goodness they moved here a couple years ago. It would have been nice to have your help, Lightning!

Thanks, Zero!!

Crazy thing was that on my street my house was the only one who had a tree down.
There were a few really big trees down and in the roads in my town. When I was trying
to make my way to my house from my parents who live 30 minutes, there were roads that
were blocked everywhere. I had to take at least 4 detours.
