I asked this question in the main room on Sunday, and compiled the following responses. Feel free to add your own in the comments!

1still_waters: Needs to have ears. Should love being boring, talking about politics, and hanging out in Barnes and Nobles. (This one was sort of made up.)

Iraaasup: Needs to love and want kids. Can't be indecisive. Must know how to employ grammar correctly and use proper spelling. Should always be on time, know how to relax, and not always shoot ideas down because he's hung up on the details.

_Elizabeth_ - Wants a guy who's not obsessed with sex, doesn't pick his nose, exits the bathroom in a timely manner, and doesn't look in the mirror all the time.

Narn - She should have good hygiene, be polite, be outgoing (not super shy). She should know what she wants wants out of both life and a partner, and be overall a very charming woman.

TrophyofGrace - He should be a Godly man, and want to take the relationship slowly and allow it to develop properly. He should be attracted to her, but not lust after her. He should possess a strong desire to get to know her and appreciate her, and take his time doing it. No dutch ovens!

Coffeegal - He should know how to treat women right and treat them respectfully and properly when on dates. He should like books, not watch television all the time, and shouldn't keep an internal checklist of requirements and write women off who don't meet them.

Topher (ChristopherMichael) - Wants someone who wants a lot of kids. She should love to touch (hold hands, cuddle, etc), and should be able to pass an Army PT test (including height/weight requiremets). She is strong willed an independent, yet wants the guy to be the lead in the relationship.

Christine-j - Simply wants a guy who respects her.

Chelsers - He has, first and foremost, a pulse. He's so funny he makes you wet your pants, is strong, but doesn't always feel the need to swoop in and her. She doesn't like being treated like she's fragile.

Cuen - He should be a nonsmoker.

Oddball - Is looking for a girl who isn't controlled by her friends.

The above comments are purely for enjoyment and fun. Please don't go hounding after the people above, insisting that you meet all their criteria and you're totally the man or woman for them! That's just weird. Also, just because I managed to extract a few requirements from them, that doesn't mean that they're looking for a relationship. Especially since some of them are already married! It just means I'm the best investigative reporter ever, and that people like talking about what they do or don't like in the opposite sex.

I said much more then that ......I did mentioned (before that comment) that God's guidence should be part of the relationship... knowing full well that this is part of Gods will ...but Noooo that was not included....

he should be strong in his walk with God,he should have leadership abilties, be goal-oriented,be strong and yet sensitive(if hes too senstive than its a definite NO for me),able to make me laugh,make me feel safe,he also needs to be attractive and accept not only me but also my son..

so yeah thats how my 'mr. right' looks like..is that too much to ask?

anyone qualified?? LOL...just kidding!

The man would need to have well groomed long hair, tall and thin but with muscles on his arms. He would have to believe in God, love music, my type of music, love to read, a mellow guy, but would fight for me or my child if need be. But I would not mind a Nordic warrior type guy with huge muscles, long blond hair who is a man man, that smells like a man, hard worker and knows how to cook because I dont, haha. A man that knows and loves his heritage but also knows and love god.

....and people wonder why I am single lol

Something I found that works for me is making a list of the "must haves" for a potential person, and as important the "must not have". There are always things that I would like, but I keep my must haves to the things that I can't compromise on, for example they MUST be a woman of faith in Jesus Christ. There are others but that is an example. An example from my MUST NOT list is they cannot smoke.
