The spirit of truth!
1Co 2:14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one.
Who are the spiritual ones? Who does God lead into all truth? And apart from the spirit of truth indwelling you can’t begin to unravel the mess Christianity is in today!
I have come to understand, just how important it is to understand this, when you are contending earnestly for the faith, as many will claim they have the truth, then defend against one or many false teachings such as original sin, penal substitution, and when God commands the sin must stop, they are made into gray areas that scripture clearly defines as doctrines of demons, leading the masses away from truth.
I believe scripture gives us several commands we must adhere to, to be able to begin to unravel the many layers of errors, and get back on track with Jesus when He said "my word is truth", "I am the truth" and the "truth shall set you free".
Sound doctrine produces a sound and holy convert, where truth comes after they repent, by laying aside all wickedness and filthiness, and then receive with meekness and humility the implanted word of God, which is truth that can save, and then become a doer of the word and not a hearer only deceiving themselves!
Jas 1:21 Therefore putting aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, receive in meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls.
Jas 1:22 But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
I believe those who like to mix truth with error, and I mean the host of reformed errors, that are the mainstay today that are leading to more doctrinal errors that make the simple truth Jesus and His followers proclaimed void, and confusing.
If you continue to insist in teaching a false gospel, or mix clear hearsay into the pure word of God, by ignoring the spirit of truth, then I believe God will give you over to the spirit of error, and send a strong delusion which will seal you in the lie or lies you hold dear to.
You cannot have it both ways, and I am not saying God expects us to know it all, far from it, but He is saying and commands we walk in the spirit of truth, and we will not be led into grave errors the reformers and Augustine handed down to us today, making the simple message Jesus proclaimed lost in a sea of conjecture, rhetoric, and fables constructed by mere men void of the spirit of truth, and more than likely indwelled with the spirit of error!
Joh 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. For He shall not speak of Himself, but whatever He hears, He shall speak. And He will announce to you things to come.

There are plenty of great christian influences here, and it's not too difficult to find people willing to help if you need anything.
Tommy, your first few sentences are true: It's important to be wary of what is said here (there are some false teachings) and anywhere on the internet. Yes, even some churches as well. We are to keep seeking God, always. But then you lost me after that.
It's true fireofpassion, serving God can be really hard. It can get lonely, it can get frustrating, it can get tiring. Trust me, I know. Many times in my life I have felt that way. But God is good, God restores us, He promises we are never alone. He is our Rock, and the body of Christ is there to encourage each other as well. CC is a great place to come meet new people who have the same desire for God.
