Hey Everyone,

Would you say there is a little bit of a troll in all of us? I know that for myself, I think I'm generally a "Girl Who Follows The Rules" but the truth is, all my longings to rebel (and there are a lot of them) are tucked away in a few (sometimes not so remote) corners. There are some days when trying to hold myself in Lock Down just gets too difficult.

Do you ever have a "Troll Day" where you just feel a bit... ornery? Disagreeable? In the mood to start an argument? Derail a thread? Say something controversial? Post things you know everyone will disagree with?

If so... How do you prepare for and go about your day if you "wake up on the wrong side of the bed"?

As for me, I start my morning with a huge bowl of "Cornflakes of Dissension." ;) I may then go on to snack on a "Cheesestick of Dichotomy" (you know, one of those cheese sticks that's half cheddar AND half mozzarella :)) Lunch might be a few (Wish-I-Had-Some-Brass-Knuckle) Sandwiches. And for dinner, I tend to fix myself a big plate of "(Re) Hash(ing) of the Moment", toppled off with a big helping of "Grumble Pie".

Thank goodness "His mercies are renewed every morning."

But seriously... how does your day go and how do you cope when the whole morning gets off on the wrong foot? And what eventually pulls you out of it at the end of the day (or does it often take days, or weeks, to get back to normal)?

I have a tendency to isolate myself as much as possible, trying to keep a leash on saying anything I'll regret later!! (I try to tell myself, "Stay inside the box, Kim... Stay inside the box... Nothing good will come of you stepping outside the box right now and you don't have a big enough broom to sweep up that mess tomorrow!!") :) I honestly try to get away from people as soon as possible (which, of course, is not possible at work) and then come home to pray (which sometimes involves a lot of yelling), have a snack, and hopefully sleep it off for an hour or two. How about all of you?

What keeps you all on the straight and narrow... and what gets you back onto it once you've fallen by the wayside?

That's pretty much how I am too. I am often overly sensitive to what others say to me or about me and I end up holding grudges for a very long time (no matter how hard I try not to) unless there is some sort of reconciliation. So I usually avoid getting involved in serious discussions, but once in awhile I will go against my own good judgement and write a serious post (as opposed to a funny or sarcastic one) only to end up regretting it later because someone doesn't like what I said. -___-

Lamentations 3:22,23 It is of the Lords mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Very good seoulsearch.

Kim, your post made me hungry for cheese sticks. And of Dichotomy? #hungerhungerhunger

I let the troll out every now and then - mostly after the 566th "My life sux because I'm single" post. Good Toasty would probably never use a picture of Jersey barriers to make a point. Troll Toasty might.

Mindfulness.

Also, the fact that I'm always way more sensitive and easily hurt than the types of people I'm most likely to have a problem with.

If it weren't for my sensitivity, I'd probably confront people with unleashed rants a lot more.

Don't know if that counts as true trolling though. I always thought of trolling as just posting for the amusement of riling people up?

The best thing about hunting down trolls who are bigger than I am is that I know I'm going to have leftovers the next day.
