Well, some people do use the term 'born again virgin'. We have to take the scripture you posted in context. Spiritually yes, you are renewed. But physically you are what you've done. A person who has killed, then get saved can't now say 'i've never killed'. The sin of murder maybe be removed from him spiritually, but in earthly terms, which we are in, he is still viewed according to his past actions. Sins can be removed, consequences can't.
I am leery of the term 'born again virgin'. I mean, if someone were to ask you 'have you had sex?' you can't say no, because its been forgiven. You have had sex, forgiven or not. I don't view myself as a virgin, i view myself as a forgiven sinner.
These sorts of things seems to be more semantics to make us feel better about our pasts than to have any solid support for them.

I don't agree with this - - but I think "purity" is the word you are looking for. I believe our Father rejoices when His children choose to be obedient in this way. Thanks for then encouragement!!

Yes, you are a virgin in God's eyes.
He doesn't forgive and remember, He forgives and forgets.
God's not the one bringing up the sins of your past, it is the accuser.
In God's eyes you are a virgin.
For love covers a multitude of sins.
And God's love is perfect, and His forgiveness is complete.
When God forgives us, He casts our sins as far apart from Him as the east is from the west. - to be remembered no more.

I've about said all I can say on that. - - - - Except to say we tend to beat ourselves up over things that God forgave us of a long time ago.
One of the main tools the the accuser is to remind us of our past failures. - If you've repented you're forgiven.
How do you know your forgiven? - Have you asked? If you've asked, you are forgiven.
Luke11:10-13 KJV
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
[SUP]13 [/SUP]If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Im not a virgin but I repented and God has forgiven me. A great verse, if we confess our sins,He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Again, forgiven changes your spirit, but not your body. If this were a woman would it be the same answer? Physically she shows the signs of her sexual past. If she told her boyfriend/fiance she were a virgin and married him what would the response be when he discovered she wasn't?

Just because you are born again does not make you a virgin. It makes it so that you don't have the sin of fornication upon you.

why would you want to be considered a virgin?

would you deny the child you sired?

God teaches us to use our past experiences to minister to others.

I agree with what Ugly stated above. Yes you are spiritually a virgin but you are no longer physically a virgin because you already did the deed with someone. Paul said that if a man be in Christ Jesus he is a new creation.

Sex has been the downfall of my life. The acts of sexually immorality I've committed will always grieve me. But it is a humble grievance[: I recognize my sin and become humbled before God Almighty. O wretched man that I am, only The Lord is able to make someone realize what they did was wrong. I see nothing wrong in knowing your past as wicked, because now God has changed us, He made me different. Before I was not humble, I was not sorry, I did not care if I sinned.

This is how God sees us, He remembers our former sinful lives but yet acts as if He did not. For our sakes He does not convict us of former sins, it is we who remember and convict ourselves. It is humbling to repent for sins committed in the past. I know I am forgiven, but why does it still grieve me? Because my sins were committed against the Eternal God, therefore the offense is Eternally embedded in our minds. But again I reiterate, there is good that comes from remembering our sins. Repentance is always acceptable before The Lord, whether for sins in the past or sins committed in ignorance. But I must make the point that one cannot repent for future sins like this: "I know I'm going to sin Lord, so please forgive me before I do it". This is unacceptable, it's like saying "I know it's wrong but I'm going to do it anyway". If a man repents and yet still commits the sin he repented for beforehand, the repentance is in vain. Only after the sin is committed is the repentance acceptable, and only if the man is truly convicted for it.

I love The Lord for giving me the ability to repent for my sins.
I love Him for causing me to always remember who I am and who He is.
It is humbling to know your place before The Lord.

I was thinking on this after I read it, and although I Agree we can no go back and change what once was, we have been given a new spirit of life.. Therefore we are to look towards life not death.. If we look closely at the words we speak , there is a discernment of life and death in them also.

if we want life, do we speak words of death regarding anything at anytime?
I also thought about the tongue being used as a couple of things.. A rudder and a bit attached to a bridle..
If I use my tongue(words) to
Guide an entire ship (the mind of another Human being) where am I steering it to? Life or death In their thinking?
If my tongue (words) are used as a bit in the bridle of someone else's mind or thinking, where will the entire body go once I have reigned in their attention and start talking?

There is life and death in the power of the tongue ..

So my brothers and sister you being in Christ , have been given "new life" .. put on and clothe one another in robes of Gods righteousness.. portraying one another as saints as God has put a garment on us..
