Define "long".

Long as in shaggy? As in he can put it in a pony tail? As in he can sweep the floor with it?

I was first attracted to my husband because he had long hair. I cried when he decided to cut it off (cuz I'm a baby like that).

So...nope.

At first glances chances are that I might if it is long long... like past the ears. Just a preference.

I prefer a guy with short-normal length hair, but that's just me. If the guy has hair as long as mine, then there is something wrong. lol

Long hair can be "cut" later.. my real question is where is he spiritually... so I wouldn't count him "out" till I really got to talk to him. I would want he to be on the same page as me concerning God.. hair will come and go.. but the soul is forever

The day I got married, my hair was down past my shoulder blades. Nowadays I tend to wear it in a style that occasionally gets people asking to see my Military ID so that they can give me the military discount.
I'm not military or ex-military.

I've only been here a day or so, but having spent that first day looking through the past 200-300 threads, I seem to intuit that you have some concerns about this topic, Dothack. I say that, because, back in December...

http://christianchat.com/christian-singles-forum/8982-girls-do-you-like-guys-long-hair.html

And the results of said poll seem to reflect what I typically have experienced in recent years; Aimee's opinion is more the norm than the abberation. Having had longer-than-customary-for-a-Western-male hair for 16 years now, I can tell you with full confidence that most single, Christian women are immediately disinterested. Most, not all. Oddly enough, many of the wives in my church (most of whom are about a decade my senior) would lose it if I went short.

I've actually given consideration to giving it the ol' heave ho, but I can't think of a possible current male hairstyle I think would work for me. And it's all too much work, the false bed-head or fauxhawks and whatnot...so low maintenance to just brush it into a ponytail. (Well, if you call buying the oversized pump bottles of Garnier from Sam's "low maintenance," anyhow). If I DO make the change, it'll be just to do something different, rather than purely motivated by hopes of attention from the fairer sex.

I actually sort of half-dated a lovely Christian friend a year ago, and she went so far as to try and make an appointment for me with her sister's salon so that I might update my look. I politely declined. My unsolicited advice, Dothack? Do whatever you want with your hair, SO LONG AS YOU DO IT FOR YOU, not for others. We don't choose follow Christ because we want to pick up women (or at least, we shouldn't), we choose to follow Christ because of ourselves, because what He did for us brings us joy, freedom, and life. And I truly believe that Christ is more concerned about the condition of your heart rather than your hair. If you're seeking a Godly woman, I would hope she sees you the same way.

I should clarify. I don't like guys with long hair, but guys with longish hair is okay. It kinda depends on the cut and the person.

And welcome to CC Shouryu!

I wouldn't write him off, but everyone is attracted to different things and I never found long hair to be appealing nor unappealing. To me it's the man under the hair that matters LoL

My friend has a huge fetish for guys with long hair though.
