Does it work?

Kirk, whom some of you may know from chat, once had a siamese kitten. One day in chat he suddenly said, "Yay, I have a self-feeding cat." It turns out he put the cat's food bowl on the floor, and the food bag on a table above the bowl. The cat gnawed a hole in the bag and, whenever he got hungry, he would hop on the table and slap the bag to make food fall out the hole.
Give a new meaning to cat chow...

I'm sure you could get some. Everyone should know that depriving a person of dark chocolate is cruel and unusual punishment.
Everything can be had in most jails, for a price. There's a story - perhaps just a story, but it is purported to be true - of two inmates of a low-security prison who escaped, only to walk about seven miles and knock on the front gates of a higher security prison. They were former drug addicts who wanted to be kept at the higher security prison because drugs were too easy to get where they had been.

My youngest cat Fluffy bolted out the door earlier and came home smelling like gasoline. He must have rolled around in it, maybe under someone's car. My Husband gave him a bath and he still stinks. My Husband just called him the poor dummy. He is a love able goof.

This is what I use. It's a 1-1 brown sugar substitute that is a bit lower on the glycemic index than regular brown sugar. :) It is VERY good and you can't tell the difference. Even my pickier sister who tried the gluten-free banana bread said it tasted amazing. I've used it in almond flour blondies, too. They're great! I just ran out of it, actually. I need to get more.

You're going to be an awesome cook someday, Lil!!

In his advice of starting her on smaller hikes, he mentioned a hiking trip that he and I went on near Tallac in the Tahoe area...except that we never took such a trip. I would have remembered since he said it was an overnight trip and we camped there with just our sleeping bags and no tents. He must have done that trip with his current wife's kid and got the details mixed up.

I'm sure I'm supposed to feel angry about this...I have no idea how I feel.
Ah man... that really does kinda stink Catherder... Did you tell him that it wasn't you he'd done that with? Yeah I don't know how I'd feel about that either. Baffled and sad and hurt perhaps. I love that you are taking your kids hiking though. You are giving your daughter memories that she'll keep with her forever.

It's pretty special when I look back on the last month of my life and can see the puzzle pieces of life being put together, one by one. Each issue addressed or thing I learned didn't seem significant, but now I can see the progression from one thing to the next, and it reminded me of how puzzles are put together, one piece at a time. I can see a small glimpse of my life puzzle. :D

In other news, looks like i'll be going home at the start of next week. *Celebratory dance* *Another celebratory dance* *One more celebratory dance for good measure*

Also, really digging Brad Paisley's new music, the cheesecake i'm eating is delicious, and being able to sleep to my heart's delight is making me a very happy man.

Thank goodness for spell check...apparently my grammar skills at 4 am are nothing to be proud of.

Now now, let's not be hating. :p He gets enough hate as it is, we can take a break.

In my random thoughts, have you ever wondered why we keep trying to design artificial intelligence... when we don't even have a clear grasp of what intelligence, or even consciousness is? How do you design a replica of what psychologists (who are supposed to be the experts on the subject) don't even understand yet? It's like trying to build a car from a verbal description you received from someone who once drove one.

Lynx, I think it's partly due to a desire some have to play God, in the desperate hope of not needing Him =P.

I woke up this morning and let my dog outside and all of a sudden as I opened the door all of these birds came flying at the door...and none of them hit the door lol. A couple of them were these doves, none of them hit.
But when I went outside I saw that this one little grey bird was passed out on the ground dead..
Ahhh. I hope that doesn't mean anything bad. :p

'This is what it sounds like, when doves cry...' ;)

(They probably got chased by some bird of prey,
birds tend to fly against doors and windows if they are.)

Congrats Pipp! My one year anniversary here came a bit ago too. Hard to believe it's been a year. This place has been a blessing!
Wow, for some reason I was thinking you had been here a lot longer. Happy anniversary to you and Pipp! (That sounded funny but you know what I mean ;) )
