Signs you need a new laptop:

It's 5+ years old.

The cooling fan sounds like a leaf blower, blowing in the distance.

You no longer have a full functioning up arrow key.

The built-in mouse clicker sticks.

It can't handle the content you have on it.

The audio jack is completely loose and therefore if you move the wrong way, the brand new earbuds you've got plugged in won't work properly (but they work great on the tablet I have).

It just really needed to be replaced like, last year, especially since I'm going to college in the fall, but you've always been taught to use something till it can't be revived any longer.
All of those things can be fixed, but may not be worth it if this is an entry level laptop we're talking about. You can sell it online as "for parts/not working" and put what you make off of it towards something new. :)

Yeah...it's an Acer laptop. It's most likely not worth it... :p But I probably could sell it online for fairly cheap. At most, it's probably only worth 50 or 100 bucks. XD But it's better than it just being thrown out.

Oh, I forgot to talk about the bipolar built-in webcam (1.3 megapixels)! Sometimes, it works. Sometimes, it doesn't. Sometimes, it likes to turn everything upside down, there have been times where I've turned green, blue, or green and pink! It's lots of fun. :D

It probably needs a new battery, too, because my laptop doesn't live for more than 5 minutes when it's off the charger.

So I held a Chihuahua puppy today at the mall. He was super tiny and I just wanted to hold him, I had no plans on buying him because I'm a pretty firm believer in adopting from a shelter. Anyhow so I held this probably 5 pound pup and the sales person comes over and is giving me info on him, I was falling in love this tiny little guy. I kept thinking, maybe I could adopt him, he seems to like me, he had this tiny tail and he kept wagging it and he licked me but you could hardly feel it because his tongue was so tiny. Then he told me the cost, 1,699.00 dollars. Then he mentioned that they took credit cards and had financing options, I said, oh well I can't afford that. It actually broke my heart a little to hand him back but 1,699.00 for a DOG! I mean OK there should be no price on love, but come on, that's a lot of money for a pet. If he would have said 300.00 I probably would have walked out of there with him and faced the wrath of my Husband later. But I don't know if I'd still be married if I spent that much on a dog. I hope some nice rich person adopt's that sweet little boy and give's him a good home.

Why can't I stop eating candy? WHY?

The only solution is to eat it all until it is gone.

I recently gave my laptop for servicing. I needed the battery changed, the webcam replaced, the internal speaker systems replaced and some overall cleaning to be done. It set me back.by USD 150. And this was only because I chose to do it from a DELL authorised service centre. :/

There are some dogs which are called "rich dogs". They are tiny (almost like a soccer ball... almost), cost a lot, require high maintenance and have a very annoying bark. If you go to the French Riviera, you will see many rich folk walking these dogs.

As for me, I like dogs which look like dogs and behave like dogs. I can never stand the bark of a Chihuahua or even a Pomeranian.

Quick lesson in Hindi (India's most widely spoken language).
Adding an 'h' after the letter 'b' makes it 'bhai' which is the Hindi word for 'bro'. If you want to say 'brother', then it is 'bhaiya'.

Class dismissed.

So tired. Can't sleep.

Had a nightmare about getting caught in a tornado of tumbleweeds and hornets, woke up unable to breathe. I don't know what's sillier; the odd mix of some of my fears, or that I'm afraid of any of those things to begin with.

I tried to count sheep to get back to sleep, but they wouldn't hold still and I kept losing track and having to start over.

You're scared of tumbleweeds? 0_o

Fun fact: when Angie visited back in January, she saw tumbleweeds rolling across the road, and exclaimed, "THEY'RE REAL? Those are a real thing?!" Gave me a good laugh. Reminds me of when Arwen had the same response about roadrunners earlier in this thread (or possibly DART).

Not your average, ordinary tumbleweed, no...I'm not That much of a marshmallow. But Huge ones that appear out of nowhere right in front of my car when I'm driving at night...or else giant ones that are on fire and I'm somehow tangled in them...yes. I don't know what's so scary about them, they're just...ugh.

The ones that aren't trying to kill me are pretty neat, though.

Wow, I'm thinking the SyFy channel is going to have a field day with a whole host of new ideas for Direct-To-TV "movies", such as:

TumbleSharkNado

Marshmallow Girl Vs. OctoWeed! (uh... that sounds like a documentary on drugs, I know...)

Mutant Piranha Vs. Giant Rolling Tumbleweed Of Fire

SuperCroctopus Vs. PyromaniacalPrairieDogs

Hmm... I'm thinking I need someone to teach me how to set a DVR... This ought to be good!!!

(Oh, you mean the movies? I meant, watching someone try to teach me how to use an electronical device...)

I'd pay a dollar or two to see pyromaniacal prairie dogs.

"When prairie dogs strike back..."

Good on them, they've been squashed for far too long.
