I only know a few Indians. You, Rachel, and some here locally. And from what I've seen each of you would annihilate me in the intelligence department. Oh and Ravi Zacharias. I mean, I don't know him. But I listen to him on the radio and that man is brilliant. I feel sorry for whoever is about to get it from you Roh. Go easy on her!
Yay, Dr. Z! He's a good speaker.

Ok i'm going to the hobby shop now. I may or may not own that model car when I get back...

I've been looking for a place on my shelves for it, but can't find one without moving other models closer together. Maybe I need a new shelf...
Well? Do you have a new model car?

I think of things over the years that stick… That stay… That linger…
I mull them over again and again, I break them down, build them up, grow and change them…

One such thing was born tonight... New character for a game, or book, or movie… Whatever it may be.

Her name is 'Elona'.

Someday I'm going to learn that eating a whole pizza and some ice cream for dinner is going to keep me from a good night's sleep. Ok so I guess I've already learned it, but I don't always keep it in mind when the pizza craving hits. And waking up early on a Saturday just isn't so great.

I noticed that after the idea came to me. She's still being formed, but to give those interested an idea:

Name Elona - Meaning, origin etc. - Girl Names - Baby Name Elona

As both the meaning for the name and the image show, she'll be the personification and physical embodiment of an oak tree. Brunette, green eyes, not too tall or short... full of life and light, but with a wisdom and distant sadness to her personality as well. She, as all the creations I'm blessed with, will be most fun to watch, discover, live with, and so forth..

..........................

I can't find any images that do her formation justice, but shoot for a ballpark:

Her name is also a play on words. The name 'Elona' contains the same letters as the world 'Alone'.

My speech teacher gave me the best advice about speeches and that is to tell them and then tell them again and then tell them what you told them!

Dear friends, relatives, and countrymen, but mostly relatives...
...When your niece goes and sits by herself at the table in the corner, do not deliberately pass up the seats at the main table where everyone else is sitting and where your niece would have sat if she wanted to sit by people, and instead sit right next to her in such a way as to prevent her leaving (i.e. escaping) the corner where she is sitting if she doesn't want to be around you, which she obviously doesn't, for the purpose of keeping her, quote/unquote, "in line." You are not endearing yourself to her, nor are you are not building her character. You are cornering a nervous creature of tempestuous character. I had to pray very hard for grace (which is equivalent to your safety) in the face of this trial.

Lovingly, your crowded niece.

The secret is sincerity. ;)
Nah. The secret runs along much simpler lines...

Niece wishes to be left alone ===> leave niece alone ===> niece is content, of her own volition reengages with other family members ===> happy ending.

Niece, why don't you like hanging out with your family?
