Thinking burns calories. Think about your food hard enough and you may just burn enough calories to earn that treat! Think about it...

 Together, we can secede.
I'm genuinely interested: What's with the whole Texas nationalist thing? Why are Texans so prideful about their state?

Hehehhe.

We did start out as our own republic, after all. Texas was literally founded on that kind of loud and proud 'tude.

Plus, Texas is holding up pretty well considering how quickly rest of the country is... eh... falling apart economically, politically, and morally.

But it isn't just us natives. As our pastor, who is from Oregon, likes to say... "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could."

Pride is a sin, so I don't know about that. :p

But I love Oregon! D: Well, I love visiting it...

I'll have to make my way out there one of these days. It looks like it has some cool museums - and that Majestic theater!

I wonder what it is with a slew of people "disappearing"... and then all coming back under new names.

I just noticed two more this morning, though one had already been called out by another keen poster (this person keeps getting banned... and coming back.)

Maybe the CC crowd doesn't change as much as we think it does.

It's all the same people under new and/or multiple names.

He likes visiting it too, but talking about Oregon's political/moral stance on things is enough to make the man look very dismayed and gloomy...

Yeah, I'm debating on whether or not to say anything because one has been banned at least 3 times under 3 different names, and another sharp-eyed poster called him out not long ago. The other is this person's friend and used to post in singles all the time. They both used to post in Singles a lot, but it looks like they're keeping it under the radar by circling other parts of the forum, particularly BDF.

But I figure... it's not my job... and anyone who is here regularly would easily recognize their posting styles.

Wait a minute, hold up.

If thinking burns so many calories... Why aren't I a size 2?

Either that, or maybe I don't think nearly as much as I think I do.

I've only used, and will only use this username(unless an announcement is made that I would be switching, but I see no reason for doing so.
Most of the time I see people switching usernames is after a ban. Sometimes though, they will change usernames, if they weren't well received with their first username.
Ironically, it is usually their second/third... username is disliked for the same reason as the first.

Yeah... I've never considered another username unless I told people about it.

Could you imagine me trying to hide who I was?

As if people wouldn't be able to guess with my very "first" 3-page post.

In related news, I have been asked by multiple people if I used to be here on another nickname. I still have not figured out why people think this. As cool as a lynx is, why would I want to be anything else?

Together, we can secede.

I'm originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, but I've lived in Oregon, Connecticut, and now Texas.
The U.P. kind of has their own secession attitude going, complete with their own wikipedia entry. Although, most people just wanted to call it "UP" not Superior.

The first time secession came up after I moved down here, was interesting. Someone mentioned it in a conversation. Then another person asked my opinion on it. I didn't even think about it, and responded, and started listing all of the reasons why it would be a good thing(for Michigan).
They didn't realize I was talking about the U.P., and Michigan until quite a ways further in the conversation.

But it isn't just us natives. As our pastor, who is from Oregon, likes to say... "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could."

Oregon is very pretty, and there are some neat places there, as well as Washington State, politically, and morally though? Far far too liberal, and immoral for my taste.

Texas does have a basis for the majority of their attitude.
Alas, I'm in Austin, where the motto is: "Keep Austin w̶e̶i̶r̶d̶ stupid"

In the past, I've temporally changed nicknames in chartrooms, mostly for fun, not because I was trying to hide. I learned very quickly that I wave far too much, and gave myself away. This was corrected in all future undercover operations.

I am cinder, I have always been cinder, and I will continue to be cinder. And if anyone has a problem with that... I'm going to ask why on earth they have a problem with that. And if anyone makes any cinderella jokes... they better have a proper prince charming to go with it (except into the woods showed us he's a cheater, so never mind)
