So, I watch a lot of animation channels on YouTube, and follow several web-comics...

Then, one night I thought...

So, to all my single CC friends... I present to you...my FIRST EVER attempt @ making a comic!!:

1st Attempt @ Comics.jpg

(...btw, I've always sucked at drawing, so this was done in Windows Paint...and I hope you're moderately amused by it...)

You drew that in Paint?!! That's awesome! I can't even draw with a mouse. :( But I can draw with a pencil. :)

AsifinPassing: The style and content both remind me of the earliest xkcd cartoons. And I sympathize with the protagonist, and I wish I could loan him a flamethrower. ^.^

Day 3 of my staycation is almost over and ALL I DID was homework. UGHHH. Oh well. No pain no gain. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. (My favourite indie song):

One of my favorite quotes, from a Star Trek video game:

"Well you know what they say. If there's a light at the end of the tunnel, it's probably a photon torpedo."

I'm watching the sunrise from my son's swim practice. This is one perk of waking up at 6am on a Saturday, just for a practice. The sky is a mix of pinks and blues. It's beautiful.

Yeah, that usually reminds me of a certain dessert my aunt makes.

Sometimes the clouds are all purple, reminds me of a blackberry cobbler.

Then when the sun gets a bit higher the clouds are a brilliant orange or yellow, reminds me of orange or lemon sherbet...

Maybe I should have eaten breakfast before I checked the forum.

So my computer, my BEST laptop, has begun overheating. It always had a bad problem with heat and apparently the overworked fan is finally giving out. I could replace the fan, but... I should have gotten a ThinkPad. I thought I could get away with an ASUS because ASUS is fairly good, but I knew I should have gotten a ThinkPad. Every ThinkPad I ever bought is still running fine.

I am considering hiring a team of mutant gorillas to smash this laptop until it is in 187,492 pieces. They will be given orders to not stop smashing until it is in the required number of pieces. Then I might burn the pieces.
Me - Runs down the hallway screaming NOOOOOOO at Lynx as he prepares to smash said laptop with a sledgehammer.....

Why not just clean out the fan or buy a replacement fan for your laptop? you can find cool videos on how to dismantle your laptop on youtube and do it for 20 min and spare buying a new one....I clean my laptop fan out every 6mos to a 1year, along with occasionally putting some thermal cream on and I get a good 7 years out of a laptop on average by just maintaining it this way....(yea I'm bit of a tech nerd ;) but it's totally worth it, especially if your laptop was a high end model back when you bought it you should want to stretch every dollar out of it in use that you can :D

What's your model and chances are I can find it on youtube as a DIY video ;) let me know if your interested in salvaging it....heck even if not you can strip it down and sell the parts off or save them for another laptop like the HD/wifi card, trackpad, keyboard, Dvd/bluray drive, screen <- You can actually make your own TV from a laptop screen very easily or as an external monitor....even sell the motherboard as a spare part/replacement on ebay for someone else.... just some ideas to float around :D cheers!

My son was so happy I gave him some homemade bread that he started singing some happy little tune in this ridiculously low, looooow bass voice. He sounded like Lurch from the Addams Family! I could not stop laughing. I'm still laughing!!! ROFL!!! ;)

Ultimatum: fan breakdown is a symptom, not the cause. The cause is the processor which has been running hot for the computers whole life. I don't blame the fan one bit for breaking down. They probably ran out of the required processor when making that batch of computers so they used a cheaper processor and overclocked it. Replacing the fan won't help much. Installing the whole board into a water cooled mainframe might work.

Although I am thinking of disassembling the computer for components. I have USB to SATA adapters so the hard drive could be used even without a case.

I had a really weird allergy attack today. I went over to my Moms to feed her cat while she's away. I am not allergic to animals I have 3 cats and a dog. I left the house and thought, my eyes are dry. I looked in the mirror and they were swollen and the white part was all puffy. When I got home I took out my contacts and put allergy drops in them. They're ok now but that was really weird.
