I called my contact at my old adoption agency today because I'm interested in sponsoring twins.

Back when I thought I'd have a "normal" life (be married, have a family, etc.), I had always wanted twins. (Actually... at one point, I wanted 4 children and figured... 2 sets of twins, and I'd be done! :D Oh, the naive fantasies of a child!)

My agency rep told me that of course, twins are very rare, and that they prefer to have the people who sponsor them also be serious about adopting them. She offered to hook me up with the woman in their agency who specializes in sibling/multiple/special needs adoptions.

Oh my goodness. I could feel myself having a slight panic attack in the core of my soul. I honestly can't even imagine...

But talk about one of those moments in life that has you on your knees, taking full inventory of your soul, asking God what you're really made of... and what He's calling you to do in this life.

As I posted earlier, I was thinking today that I need to replace a pair of work shoes that are about worn to the hilt. And then I stopped to think.

For all you parents out there (especially those who are doing it all on your own) who keep on wearing the same old shoes weeks and months and years past their prime... because you're buying your children what they need instead, I salute you.

God bless you for following His calling and for raising our next generation.

I like this avatar much better than the other one. :)
I accedently deleted this one. And then Magenta found it for me so now everything is once again right within the universe:)

I intensely dislike "R". I intensely dislike the front-end "R-Studio". I paid tuition this semester to learn about statistical regressions and their associated inferences, not how to bang code into a console. I spend far more time trying to get a piece of code to work to get an arbitrary number than I do learning just precisely what that number is supposed to mean or what it is supposed to tell me about my data.

Did anyone see Moonlight? I'm struggling to understand why it won any awards...especially Best Picture.

The Accounting Firm of Lye, Cheet and Steele deeply apologizes for its oversight in bringing the wrong batch of envelopes to the Oscars. The actual winner for Best Picture is...

Rogue One.

I didn't see Moonlight and I had never heard of it until I watched some of the Oscars at my Mother In Laws. I did see Manchester By The Sea. It was good, really depressing but good. I also saw Zootopia which was up for an award. I have no idea if it won.
