I have not seen most of the animateds. I did not really care for the arrival that much. Manchester by the sea my daughter hated, no redeeming quality, nothing to uplift, so I may never see it. Moonlight did not hold my attention. Yawn. La La Land I enjoyed. Silence was too long, but a wonderful story. Hacksaw Ridge was amazing. What else have I seen? Hell or high water was like an old time western with cell phones haha. Lion was quite a touching story. Captain Fantastic was interesting. Jackie was boring. Doctor Strange I saw in 3D! I liked it

I thought Arrival was...good. Not great but still good. It was much better than Moonlight though. LOL Honestly Moonlight was utter cr*p.
I think Arrival was too hyped. I knew there was a twist and I was expecting it to be something more symbolic but it turned out to be very personal to the character instead. Which was okay...but not what I expected. It's a really sad movie. I liked the aliens though!

I did see it and I was impressed at how good it was. And I'm one of those people who are almost never impressed by movies.
