I didn't see Moonlight and I had never heard of it until I watched some of the Oscars at my Mother In Laws. I did see Manchester By The Sea. It was good, really depressing but good. I also saw Zootopia which was up for an award. I have no idea if it won.
Zootopia won for Best Animated Feature. I personally thought Moana was better but they were both good. I'm watching Arrival now. I'll let you all know if it's good! I wanna see Manchester By The Sea. I haven't seen that one.

I have not seen most of the animateds. I did not really care for the arrival that much. Manchester by the sea my daughter hated, no redeeming quality, nothing to uplift, so I may never see it. Moonlight did not hold my attention. Yawn. La La Land I enjoyed. Silence was too long, but a wonderful story. Hacksaw Ridge was amazing. What else have I seen? Hell or high water was like an old time western with cell phones haha. Lion was quite a touching story. Captain Fantastic was interesting. Jackie was boring. Doctor Strange I saw in 3D! I liked it :D I also enjoyed the jungle book :)

I thoroughly enjoyed Arrival. I thought it was very thought provoking.

Arrival was epically epic. A movie that definitely flew under the radar but was SO GOOD. It was so made for the big screen too.

It was one of those movies that was a bit short on dialogue because the main characters did not speak :p It was certainly an interesting concept, though I thought it relied too much on enigmatic flashback type sequences that really did not much help explain things...

lol but the enigmatic flashback type sequences were what made it so mind-blowing in the end.

I was seriously sitting in my theater seat just like this:

I thought Arrival was...good. Not great but still good. It was much better than Moonlight though. LOL Honestly Moonlight was utter cr*p.:eek:

I think Arrival was too hyped. I knew there was a twist and I was expecting it to be something more symbolic but it turned out to be very personal to the character instead. Which was okay...but not what I expected. It's a really sad movie. I liked the aliens though!

I saw The Girl On A Train and she waved at me!

Just kidding :p I did see it and I was impressed at how good it was. And I'm one of those people who are almost never impressed by movies.
