That's a good question.

In your computer there are two kinds of memory. The hard drive is non-volatile, which means when the power goes off the data is still there, encoded in the physical structure of the memory. The RAM chips are volatile, which means when the power goes out anything in the RAM chips is lost.

So is the brain volatile or non-volatile memory? If the power goes out are memories lost or are they retained in the physical structure of the brain? If brain memory is non-volatile the guy's brain could still be hacked after he was dead.
I've heard of people who have received heart transplants having memories... which aren't theirs. If my memory serves correctly, in some cases the recipient was able to track down the family of the donor and verified the details. Apparently there is some hard-coding which happens, and is transferable....

Nonsense.

Having memories from a transplant is rubbish.

After my head transplant...

I hardly remember anything.

Memories embedded in the HEART?! How did they get up to the brain, through the blood?

Well dad-gummit!

Why does dad have to gum it? Did someone steal his dentures?

My landlord showed up earlier this Sunday with some forms and how he wanted them all signed immediately.

I'm not sure why he waited until the few last moments to have these done, but tomorrow is the final deadline.

I made an excuse to leave at the time but with the promise I'll have those done by Monday.

He wants me to submit a fraudulent claim with a federal incentive and that I have a child living with me so my home will get an extreme makeover.

It's some kind of Lead Safe Rental Program that pays out huge to those who qualify.

I looked at the application packet and it's a possible $10,000 fine and up to 5 years in jail if I knowingly falsified what he's asking for me to do.

I am worried about the fallout that's about to come.

If anyone has an extra prayer to spend, it would be very nice if you could send one my way.

DON'T SIGN. Stand firm for the truth.

Even if you wind up going through the fire like Shadrak, Meshak, and Abednego, God will be with you through it.

OR you can cross out everything you disagree with before you sign then make copies and give him the copies.

Just say, "I can't in good conscience sign these." He can't force you to sign.

Get a friend to be a witness with you if he threatens you somehow. It may be illegal in your state to record him with out his knowledge. But if he threatens you in front of someone, that should be proof enough should you want to sue him.

Today is def a sweatpants kinda day at work. At least I have job where it's almost preferred to dress extremely casual. I'd rather dress fanicier but it's Monday and I was gonna be late if I didn't just throw on sweats and a tee. At least I'm comfy. :)

I was a very smart grocery shopper today. I used a coupon and only bought what I went to buy and that's unusual for me. So I actually have meals planned for the rest of the week. I know that doesn't seem like a big deal but dinner always seems like a ball and chain around my neck, so having things planned out helps my very scattered brain slow down a little.

On my way to class this afternoon, I sang along and bobbed my head to a Tupac Shakur song on the radio.

I usually only buy what I came for. Sometimes I even fail at that. :p

Once upon a midday, Tuesday, While I labored, weak and blasé,
Over many a quaint and curious assemblage of forgotten 'puters—
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a "BEEP"ing,
As of some object gently rapping, rapping at my sanity's door.
“’Tis some error,” I muttered, “tapping at my sanity's door—
Only this and nothing more.”

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the musk of warehouse stench;
And each separate dying motherboard wrought its ghost upon the workbench.
Eagerly I wished the morrow;—vainly I had sought to borrow
From my tools surcease of sorrow—failure for the lost motherboard—
For the rare and radiant PCB whom the engineers named motherboard—
Unresponsive here for evermore.

Jury duty tomorrow. Shoots...

No work tomorrow. Shoots, yeah!

I'm not entirely sure how to feel about this.

Have you gone before? If not, I highly recommend it. Its very interesting and pretty exciting. I wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be a pretty cool experience even though my case ended up being settled before the trial began (it was a drunk driving case and the guy settled for some kind of deal with the DA). The jury selection process was interesting though and so was learning about the case. Both lawyers talked about their viewpoints on the case too.
