I won't know how to respond until the exam is graded next week sometime and I find out whether or not I passed the course. The situation is out of my hands until then. For now, I will enjoy not having to cook supper this evening, and perhaps turning in a bit early tonight to catch up on the sleep I've missed this week due to worry-related insomnia.

Sleeping gets in the way of... many things. I do take a nap if I'm really tired, but usually if I need a nap I just do a power cycle. Close my eyes, increase respiration and rest for a minute or seven.
Agreed. Sleep gets in the way.

My plans rarely come to fruition but I plan nonetheless.

Like...it would be great if God sent me some single friends..talking abput irl here. I have mostly married friends because that's where I was in life until my ex divorced me. Most of my married friends can't just up and go out. I'd love to have some close friends to hang out with when I have free time. This is such a weird stage of life.

I had an odd day. My Son woke up sick, strep throat, I was standing outside in the rain with my dog ,trying to get her find a good pee spot, some very nice woman smiled and waved at me, just a nice stranger, I think. Then I saw a poor bird hit a window and fall, I told an employee at the store I was at and showed her where it was. She was really nice about it and said she knew who to call, so that's good.

At the grocery store I had a stranger with a Spanish accent say hello, and I smiled and said hello, then he said, you look beautiful today. I said, thank you. Then I thought, guess it's the mascara and the wind blown hair. Then I took my dog to the vet because of her allergies. She has conjunctivitis and she also got a shot to help with the itching. She has seasonal allergies. She hopped up on the scale and she gained 20 pounds this winter!! I thought they were going to put my picture on the wall of shame.

It wasn't a bad day, just kind of an exhausting day for me.

I'll be getting a roommate here in a few weeks. My last roommate situation was HORRIBLE and I swore off having a roommate ever again (that was last year, and I quote "I would rather live in a cardboard box").

This time should be different, though I love living alone so I will miss all the perks of it. But, those perks aren't worth a couple hundred extra bucks a month. :)

my problem with my mind, even sub conscience is that I have a very extensive and detailed memory that randomly just sends me memories or stuff I've watched or heard from out of nowhere and some I don't mind like a favorite movie or show I've watched but then others are annoying and ridiculous because I don't even want to think about them like for instance(by the way no offense intended to anyone who watches it)the show big bang theory,I find it boring but like many shows that I just even glance at my mind commits to memory certains things like a theme song or some phrase and then it can just come up out of nowhere even when I don't think about certain shows or movies this happens and then I'll wonder why am I thinking of something that I don't like or is just plain random or mixed up and even when I sleep I can wake up thinking about something I don't like or even something I wish would just be erased from my memory will haunt me I do think of it as a blessing but sometimes its just plain annoying and if that wasn't annoying enough when working to pass the time I'll think of some song or show I like but then it becomes racing thoughts that bombard me when eventually I don't really want to think of anything because I start getting a headache and on top of that when I try to simply home get in bed and sleep my mind doesn't always cooperate even with nothing on in the room and so I typically sleep on my face because somehow it helps me sleep eventually though I keep trying to sleep with my head on the pillow not facing it and yet I can't seem to do this except rarely...any suggestions on how I can get my mind to shutdown better at night or even perhaps limit how my mind usually functions? I know the obvious stuff, don't have lights on or watch something for the sleep part, just wondering if there are even more helpful ways to slow down my very active mind.

Sounds like good motivation for Bible memory verses and listening to good Christian music, or classical music in general. What we put in our brains pops back out. (Another good argument against pornography FWIW.)

It sounds like you are pretty intelligent. Respectfully, God holds you (all of us) responsible for what you put in your brain. Ugly in - ugly out. Beauty in - beauty out. Wisdom in - wisdom out.

Read Proverbs for how important wisdom is, then pursue it with all your heart. Only God knows what it will lead to in your life.

Rip them to computer and put them on a flash drive. All car radios these days have USB ports.

OR

Rip them to computer and put them on your phone. All pod speakers have bluetooth functionality these days.

OR

Send me those CDs. I'd like to listen to them. :D

It just occurred to me that I've been using the same wallet since I was 14. The outside is still in good shape, but there a few loose strings and rips on the inside lol. I'm used to it and probably won't ever change it unless it completely falls apart tbh. How often does anyone else replace theirs? Are there others who choose to stick with old reliable? XD

I've bought maybe 2 or 3 of them myself over the years, but I usually just tell somebody I need a new one when my birthday or christmas is coming around...
