So for those who can remember back a little.....

My landlord wanted me to fill out forms and state I was in a relationship, along with having a child here.

Doing so, would have given my house an extreme make over, through a federal program.

I said no on his dishonesty, mostly thanks to all of the responses back here.

I have now received eviction notices in the mail, one taped on my front door, and daily business cards from court officers.

I've lived in my home for seven years now, with no late rent payments or short on money, not even once.

I need to appear in court this Friday and I'm worried what will happen.

Something also happened to my car earlier tonight as well.

My vehicle died, a little over a dozen times, while trying to drive a short distance.

I think someone tampered with it.

I don't think I'll ever drive my current car again. I get a breaks light warning, it suddenly overheats, and keeps shutting down.

I'm only mentioning that because my last one somehow had pickle relish in the gas tank so I had to sell it for parts.

This should not be my life and I'm becoming ashamed of it.

I don't suppose you recorded any of your conversations with your landlord?

I would contact a lawyer or legal aid office and see if you can sue the landlord. With a recording, I would think it would be pretty clear who is at fault. without it, you may still be able to sue successfully.

In any event, my prayers are with you.

This might be God's way of preparing you for a better place.

Sorry to hear about your car, too. That also merits prayer.

Thank you for the update. I had wondered what became of the situation.

Seriously, look into suing the landlord. It might be worth it.

My digestive system has been out of whack for almost 2 weeks now. I have no appetite, I get hungry but don't feel like eating, and when I do eat (doesn't matter what it is) I feel sort of sick later? I think maybe it's stress. It's VERY unlike me, my normal self could eat all day e'ery day.

Trying to take advantage of this to eat less and exercise and make losing weight a bit easier, though also sort of hoping I go back to normal soon.

Have you seen a doctor about this? It could be a major organ malfunction. Unless you are simply under a lot of stress. I did see that post of yours a while ago about the amount of tears you shed one day, and felt very sad for you... that certainly sounds stressful, though releasing tears is good for you :) Still, not having an appetite and feeling ill when you do eat sounds rather serious, very much how like liver ailments work (not to alarm you). Ga-aah. Please see a doctor :D

I never go to the doctor...I haven't been to an actual GP since December of 2011. Whoops. But I've had work related health tests and I've been healthy. It's very likely just stress. One thing after another, some good, some bad. I drink tons of water and rarely drink so I don't think it's my liver. I carry my stress in my stomach and between my shoulders. If it gets worse or doesn't get better I may get it checked out. Thanks for your kind words :)

I did the same thing. The result is requiring regular doctor visits and multiple surgeries and hospital visits the rest of my life. Even if it's just stress that can still cause heath problems.

Man that really sucks. It definitely sounds like someone tampered with your car. I highly recommend having a mechanic look at it. He'll be able to verify if it was tampered with or not, and you could probably use his word in a court case. He can write on the invoice that he believes it was tampered with. Is your gas filler door or hood open-able from the outside? Overheating and dying with the brake light coming on is a complete mystery to me and I can usually at least suggest a diagnosis for 99% of car problems.

I wish you luck in court. I'm glad that you are taking action on this. No telling how many others he coerced into his fraudulent scheme. No matter what happens, just remember that GOD knows what that guy did (or didn't do) and He will deal with him accordingly. All you have to do is trust that GOD will bring you out of this even better than you were before!

Rachel, I had the same kind of problem when I was working at a fast-paced, stressful job. I would be hungry but didnt feel like eating and then when I did eat I'd feel kind of sick afterwards. I actually thought I was developing IBS. It turned out to be a combination of waiting too long to eat and not eating enough. Once I stopped working there I started eating like I used to (big meals at least three times a day) and it went away in like a week.

I suggest having a bite of something between meals at work. The dietician who taught my nutrition class said we should ideally eat something every 2 to 3 hours.

You say you haven't been to a doctor like you are proud of it. That kind of pride can KILL YOU! Many to most doctors really are concerned with their patient's health and want them to stay healthy. Find a doctor you like.

Nooooo, Ive seen that go badly so many times. It never works out well, it totally makes enemies and creates division among members.
If people think the Bible discussion forum is bad, imagine that on every forum on this site : p

For me, it's not as much to do with the temperature, but the humidity of the air and how that effects the temperature. I was born and raised in Wyoming, in a section of the state that is a high mountain desert, so it had very low relative humidity and even extreme temperatures were tolerable. Now that I live in Iowa and can routinely have 80% and greater humidity, I cannot tolerate either the winter nor the summer temps.
