It's 1.26 AM and I am terribly sleepy.

I was about to finish my homework when I remembered I had to update a file and logged on to my Windows OS (dual boot via bootcamp on Mac OS). And heck, my Windows thinks its more important for it to run windows update than let me finish with my homework which I've been working on for almost two weeks now. And windows updates like there's no tomorrow.

I am dead tired and frustrated and right now I just wanna flip tables.

Yup, gotta love Windows automatic updates that cannot be turned off.

I recommend Linux Mint. It works very well and it only updates when you tell it that it can.

I've only really tried Ubuntu and it's not very different from OS X.

Stupid MS Visio doesn't work on Mac so I had to run Windows on it.

I don't think nor feel the same way about things as most people I have ever met or interacted with.

That's a fact.

The reason my feelings or thinking are so much different take some explanation, and I can't adequately explain them in some "30-second elevator speech". For someone to dismiss my feelings or thinking with a flippant "oh, you're just saying that because [fill in the blank]" leads me to two distinct conclusions: 1)that person has a reductive thought process and is incapable or unwilling to put forth anything more than minimal effort to make sense of anything that doesn't fit neatly in their myopic paradigm, and 2)I have gained yet another piece of evidence which further supports my decades-old hypothesis which is "most people in this world just aren't worth interacting with, dealing with, or getting to know".

I never, ever, ever "just think [fill in the blank] because...". Ever. There is always a list of very good reasons why I hold the views I do. As much as I hate absolutes, when it comes to why I think the way I do and often behave the way I do, there are always reasons for it, and they aren't based on simple knee-jerk reactions or to intentionally make myself different from everyone else.

I don't know about windows 10, but I have windows 7 and 8 and it has an option to turn off windows updates. I also have windows 10 but I can't remember if it has that option or not. Definitely turn it off if you can. I turn mine on about once a year and then I have all these updates but it does them all at once. Takes awhile though.

Windows 7 and 8 you can turn off automatic updates. Win10 opened with a mandatory automatic updates system that you can't turn off. Very annoying. Want to make that presentation at work or church? Better hope Microsoft isn't pushing through an update right at that moment. Your computer might reboot right in the middle of your big show.

Ever been running a Children's Church service and the computer you were using to run the audio-video suddenly has to update? NOT good!

Oscar Wilde said “Women don’t want to be understood, they want to be loved.” But, he was not a woman and he was wrong. Women want to be understood and loved.

And here I thought I was the only person who had the firmly held conviction that most people aren't worth the effort of getting to know

The only people who are not worth getting to know are the ones who think they are worth getting to know. All others are worth at least a little time listening to them.

It can get tiring looking for endless reasons why people do this or that. Because, really, unless it affects others, it just doesn't matter.

I've long given up trying to figure myself out. I'm just glad that Jesus accepts all of me and is willing to put up with me and lead me back to His presence.

When I found Jesus, not that He was lost, I found myself. And I learned to love me even if I don't understand me. Go figure.

We could all use some spiritual wheelchairs, that would be interesting. But, i'm not the president. #morningdevos#morningthoughts#presidentvirtues#spirituality#newrules#newperspectives

I'd get to know anyone who I can be patient with, or who I have time to willingly give up for.

People who think it a priviledge for others to get involved with them also need some lovin' but not from people like us who can't stand them.

I just realised your signature is a very interesting question. No, I did not know.

It must have been a hideous one. No wonder Elijah was scared of her.
