"I" think you might be getting a bit more depressed than usual. It could be because of the decreasing light here in Iowa. Have you heard of Seasonal Affective Disorder? (SAD)(This is not a joke.)

Vitamin D supplements have successfully been used to mitigate the effects of SAD. I also invite you to consider vitamin B complex and Fish Oil. I notice they have a powerful effect on my mood but it may take a week or two to feel the difference.

You are under a lot of stress. It is perfectly common to react to stress with depression. You have a full plate. Is it possible to take a month off from your dissertation to just feel better about yourself?

My work is at the point now I need to just plow through it and get it done. I'm afraid taking a break from it would end up being the death of the project. I'm probably 90% done with everything and I can see the end of it, but trying to get there is like a bad dream where the faster you run towards the door, the faster it retreats from you. I think too that I'm dreading actually being done because once I am, I'll have nothing in my life to distract me from my daily nursing duties which "do" sap the life out of me. I've put my life on complete hold for so long that I'm no longer sure what I want to do with the remainder of my life, nor do I know how I'll go about trying to make it happen.

I feel like a kid on Christmas day. And like a wife watching her husband loosing his purpose in life. And like overworked Andrea that still has to write some reports before everything backfires. One hour and 25 minutes to go. Three reports to write. Or was it four? Plato is waiting in the naughty corner after not being allowed in bed. Little does he know, or does he, that his post as a servicedog is going to be occupied by Memo in just one hour and 23 minutes.

I hit a deer on the way to work. I’ve been crying by for the last half an hour. My heart is so sad that I killed it. I’ve never hit anything like that. I love animals. It was so pretty. :(

On top of it my car is...not good. I’m ok but the car and deer are definitely bad. ;(

It was so pretty...

I'm sorry that you had to go through this. The deer is now in a better place happily munching on apples. I hope that your car is drivable and will be able to be repaired with minimal cost to you. The deer is still pretty.

It's okay sister. Mistakes happen and it wasn't your fault. Are you sure he was dead? If so, at least he's not suffering anymore. I believe animals go to a better place too.
