With all due respect, Galatea (Imma just stick to your original username so people can understand), please know that a 15-year-old girl talking to probably some of the most sane and charming bunch of adults on the Internet does NOT equal the end of the world.
Thanks for mentioning the original nic (I took the time to verify it off of old post IP's).

Personally I find it somewhat underhanded and deceptive for someone to request that an account be deleted and then immediately register a new profile.

And this is exactly why I battle with myself if i REALLY want to be apart of this site. As much as I care about my friends I’ve made over the years, it’s things like this that make me truly wonder. That’s why I take breaks, to get away from stupidity and “holier than thou” people. I mean for real... get a life. EVERYONE is going through SOMETHING right now in their lives that maybe no matter what age.. they need SOMEONE to care enough about them.

age is only a number... but I see no issues with people just helping others out so we can vent, get advice.. and or seek JESUS above all else.

*rant over..*

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Just can’t deny the truth.

It truly helps to talk stuff out. That’s why I joined a few years ago... I needed someone to care enough about my troubles and not just my immediate family you kno?

Yeah and it really pains me,that she's still on this mission, friendship or not this is just tearing me apart to see someone be "so obsessed" with what someone else does in their life, and even "putting on a show" with that phony goodbye thread and account deletion".
I truly do care about Galatea but she cares more about what "she wants" more than other people's feelings and choices, trying to hound someone to do what a person wants them to do is "wrong" at "any age".

I guess she has an opinion, most here don't share. Why is it tearing you apart?

Because she could be doing so much more with her life especially for God instead of wasting it on "trying to change others to her liking" I have seen this alot and it's really sad,"tearing apart" might have been a bit on the exaggeration side but still it's never easy seeing others stray off course no matter friend or family or loved one,and yeah it's her opinion but she has made a point to persistently make it her mission to force change in a member which is really "unhealthy" so it gets me concerned.

I don't have a horse in this race, but as always...let him who is without sin cast the first stone.

So....

I change my bed sheets every week but I wash the mattress cover maybe 3 or 4 times a year. So yesterday I stripped the bed and thought I'm going to wash the mattress cover also. That's precisely the moment my dog decided to vomit all over my bed.

Poor dog... I guess he/she is not allowed for a while to enter your bed after this. I am not sure of the type of mattress you are having, but I would take this as a good excuse to get a new one.... sacrifice dogs in bed? ... not before I am married ;-)

I didn't mean sacrifice the dog as an offering or pagan ritual. I am more in need of a bed warmer.

Lol...I am a sap with my dogs..they are always allowed in my bed. I have a big bed so there's plenty of room. I have a shitzu and a boxer, both are rescues but unfortunately as my shitzu is aging his anxiety is getting worse ( reportedly common in this breed) so the lesson learned for me is keep them out of bedroom while mattress is exposed.

Mattress is only 4 years old and fairly expensive so I got creative and jiggy with cleaning last night.

Well, for one, I notice that people struggling with guilt tend to find things to cover that feeling. One way is finding whatever they think is wrong with the world and getting some self-righteousness from that.

It's sad that still so many people, even in a Christian site like this, have no idea how LOVED they are, how ACCEPTED they are in Christ (although not by me, personally, most of the time LOL), faults, mistakes, imperfections and all, that they have to hide under the pretence that they 'care' about what they think is right and taking their focus on 'other' people because they can't bear to face their own weak self, full of wrongs.

They hate themselves so much. They think they don't deserve love from people so it's OKAY for them to offend others because, they deserve to be hated in the first place. It's OKAY for them to be condescending because they're not supposed to be GOOD people anyway, because how could they? They know exactly just how terrible they are.

And they take this out on others. Hence, the fault-finding, bullying, offending.

It's all a reflection of how inadequate they think they are. They're not to be hated. Understandably, they get on my nerves all the time. But yeah. I really think they just have no idea that Jesus paid it ALL and they're free to accept love, they're free to accept kindness. His love, first, then people's. Because all the ugly things about them have long been forgiven. Long gone! All washed by the perfect blood of Christ. Only when they understand this will they stop trying to cover up. Only when they understand this will they actually start to love themselves, and love others. It's only through Jesus.

Sorry for being preachy, but I'm talking to myself too.

Maybe it's not her attempting to change anyone to their liking. Maybe the dangers to adolescence online is real. I spent several years on a taskforce, to combat the online exploitation of children. I worked undercover chat operations with suspects. We already know there is a 25 year old guy, pining for a teenaged girl on this site. It has come out in the forums. That could be unhealthy too.

Beautifully put, dear Abigail! I'm still learning not to take it upon myself to correct those who puff themselves up continually while finding fault in others. Ooooh man, it's so humbling because my own weakness is exposed when I'm tempted to judge them, ya know? I'm not referring to the parties involved in this instance as I really don't know them that well. Nevertheless, our trust is in the Lord for one another. He is able to complete what He started in each of us, bless His faithful name! \:D/
