And the thing with my dancing, is that it's made even more awkward by the fact that I listen to my music with my headphones in. So they can't hear the music or feel the beat, but I'm just over at the sink wigglin' around to silence, for them. :p

I'm so sad today, the news all around me has been so depressing. My Friends Father died, he was old and ill, but I know she's struggling and then another one my friends called to tell me her husband of 26 years called her while she was doing the dishes to ask if she knew that he moved out all of his stuff and he left her?

She was blindsided by this. I'm brokenhearted for her. It's so sad. I am praying for both friends and I just want to cry for them both. I don't even know if that makes sense. I hate to think of them in pain. I know pain is part of life, but sometimes it's a huge kick in the stomach that you don't expect and how do you pick up the pieces?

Please pray for my friend Kris and Leslie, they need it so badly now. God Bless

Oh, I'm so sorry Fenner... these are both heartbreaking situations, especially your friend whose husband left. I'm definitely praying for each of them right now, and for YOU as you minister to them, that God would give you words to say, and allow your spirit to grieve with them.

Thank you so much Grace, I really need those prayers and so do they. The weird twist in all this is, my Step Father is my friends husbands Uncle and God Father, it's a huge family. My Step Dad knows they separated, of course he doesn't know the whole story. It's really sad and I hope he doesn't try to rake her over the coals.

Not my Step Father, raking her over the coals, the ex husband.

THIS is wonderful! I actually love this song even more than the first one you posted. I wasn't able to see the video, which I blame on my $19.99 per month internet connection, but I could hear it. Thanks for sharing! You are wonderfully talented!
Oh my, you are too kind. Thank you!

Question: Why is he on full post, while you appear to be on short post? Doesn't seem like that would be very balanced; does he just play with a lighter touch than you? Or did it have to do with the acoustic nature of that specific shell? (It's a surprisingly short shell, but it IS very pretty.)

Oh, and good job, and stuff. Well played.
Yes, I am on half post. This configuration was decided upon after much trial and error by the piano department faculty, and it's now the default for two-piano performances. I think it does have to do with the acoustic nature of our recital hall.

And thank you, and stuff. :)

My church does something called '7 Pianos' once a year and it is where, and, how profound am I going to sound here, but, yeah, it's where 7 baby grands are brought in and 7 players just play off each other's pieces. Quite a glorious blessing to hear, spectacular sound that blends together, even though, I admit my 'ear' is not perfect at catching all the nuances and harmonies of all 7. To me, they sound like a few pianos, like 3 or 4, but, the extra ones, I'm not sure, I hear so much of the difference in them all.

It's all good and, I bet, HisLoveneverfails, that you're a candidate for playing on one of those seven pianos now :)

The Lord leads :) Maybe, that's a suggestion for your wee little weeblo church to do sometime for a spectacular musical night of 'Steinway.' :)
Haha oh no, I shouldn't have uploaded a video of such a good performance.. now when you hear mine it will pale in comparison. I'm working on uploading it but I'm just sort of technologically handicapped. If I ever get it to work I'll share it with you lovely people. :)

In the meantime, here's a video of me playing another duet almost exactly a year ago.. with the young man who became my boyfriend not long afterwards. ^_^ *swoon*

I'd just change your words a little with regards to that piece being "the default for two-piano performances."

That's the de facto for two-piano performances, or, we could go along with that was the "de jure" for two-pianao performances.

I'm not picky, HisLoveneverfails, pick either word that fits your fancy, milady :)

I, particularly, liked the opening of that config, it reminded of one white-masked guy, with a grotesque face behind, that one pretty lady did fall for hearing, not seeing the gross 'behind' it all, because he was real with her, he was right for her, the perfect tune sung!

That "phantom" was "the music of the (her) night."

But, yeah, don't sell yourself short, dream and dream big, for His dreams for us are bigger than we can EVER in our minds' eye, dream.

I would like to create a list where I match up people from CC with other people from CC. After I match said people up, I expect y'all to meet and have a meal together. None of this, "But Aimee, I don't really like them like that." Nonsense. Go to dinner anyway. If you still can't stand them then let me know. I'll see if I can pair you with someone else. If it turns out that person is a creeper, I'll make sure to handle the situation via Jullianna or Rachel. I'd do it myself, but I punch like a girl. I'm pretty accurate with a gun, however...

Anyway! I know there was a thread like this in the past, but most of those matches were just to be funny. I'm serious people. I've put 7 couples together and all of them have gotten married and stayed married. Most of them have kids, but not all. Whether or not y'all have kids... I have no control over that.

Yes, I'm very funny. I know. But I'm about 62% serious about this.

hehehe Green, I love you so much brother, but I read your post at least 10 times and I still have no idea what you mean.

That said, thank you for listening and I'm glad you liked the opening :)

Is it just me, or does anyone else envision Green as a wise, sprightly forest gnome who talks in riddles? Even his posts where I am going "what the?? fill me with joy. ;)

...I am not ashamed to say that I have had pretty much the exact same mental picture in my head before. Love you, Green! <3

Some poor soul is going to end up with me? Or are you going to be nice and spare everyone?

I would go along with this. However, you should get the consent of all participants beforehand.

Once you have their names in your hat, then go for it.

I honestly see no downside.

You know I'm not going to get permission from anyone. People want to arrange their own relationships. It's just something I think would be fun.

Thanks for the vote of support though!
