I told my ex that we can try to work on things.

I know a lot of people will think I'm stupid for agreeing to this. That's ok.

He's really trying. Not the way I've seen him "try" before, but really putting honest effort into understanding what I've told him the problem(s) were from my point of view, without turning it around on me.

We sat outside on my new front step last night, with the door open behind us, and listened to the kids playing and watched a thunderstorm roll in as we talked.

I won't claim that I feel as though God is "telling" me to give this a try...honestly, I have no idea right now what God wants me to do. I've been praying for discernment in all this...wisdom, so maybe I'll see it sooner if my ex is only putting on an act. But also, I don't want to be so paranoid that he might be putting on a show that I don't give him a real chance to prove otherwise.

Baby steps. That's really all I can do right now...move forward with extreme caution. I want it to work out. I've gotten past a lot of the anger. I've gotten to a point where I can forgive if there is remorse...and I think there is. I don't know when/if I'll be able to trust him. But I want to try.

Am I insane? Or just stupid? So many questions I don't know if I want the answers to.
like you said you will eventually know if he's putting on a show. If this is what you feel is the right thing to do then you should. Don't worry about what others think. It's your life, your kids and marriage.

What exactly are they saying with that pigeon birthday cake? That we're fluffy, annoying and full of poop? :p
Whoops; I forgot that pigeons are often thought of as being dirty. There are several breeds that are very beautiful, like that Frillback. It reminds me so much of one of Pipp's cakes that I'd been meaning to post it for quite awhile. I'd only think of it when I wasn't online, though. The only thing that came to mind to post for Christian was a beard trimmer, but I don't want Arlene on my case for getting you to shorten it, TinTin! I think the beard looks good, anyway. Thus, the shared cake-looking bird. Here's something better for you, Christian; a link to the troll thread's page in which the everyone-pins-Christian-against-the-wall-so-Arlene-can-tell-him-how-she-feels-even-though-he's-insisting-that-they're-just-friends begins. Enjoy the next few pages, everyone =D!

Time to get coffee going. And figure out what the heck needs done today. I'm trying to think, but I just can't come up with anything.
Yyuuup...I figured it out.

Titan's appointment. I finally found the papers for it.

Annnnd I get yelled and screamed at by my sister because it's all my fault I missed it because I couldn't find papers confirming it was today and I didn't call to make sure when anyone could have easily done it. Excuse me for being stressed over having a dog in the hospital the past week and making sure he's okay instead of remembering a stinking appointment that we can reschedule at any given time!

I can't do life anymore. I just give up.
If you don't mind me asking - what is it that you expect out of life? You must be trying to achieve something, otherwise you wouldn't be giving up, right? So, I'm curious - what is it you want?

As boring as meetings are, it's nice to break up the day.

Totally passive-aggressively unloaded on my boss today. He's been pressuring me to pressure the nurses to get a wound healed on an individual who is always vulnerable to wounds due to pressure sores. It's totally unreasonable.

Does the US actually have any influence with the Russia-Ukrainian conflict? Seems like a whole lot of huffing and puffing from Obama.

It is no more than huffing and puffing, unfortunately. Not only is it huffing and puffing, but huffing and puffing that'll get us into trouble. Obama knows we could never come up against them, he just cut back our defenses to help "cut back government costs."

It seems so fake that they do this whole big press conference like it's a big deal in front of an army copter. And for what? Putin must be laughing

Well if Obama DIDN'T say anything then he'd look bad. So he thinks he's better off saying something but doing nothing rather than saying AND doing nothing.

I guess Obama has never heard the saying that it's best to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it.

And yeah, I've heard some things about Putin mocking Obama.

pretty grumpy today and down to the point I wanna cry lol. I know that seems funny but I'm drained. Many life decisions have been made: one of them including choosing not to have kids...

Yeah I guess you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. When you're president people love you and hate you for everything you do. I would have developed a severe substance abuse disorder if I were in his shoes.

No offence but I believe that in principle that isn't a choice we get to make.

Good for you but I'm pretty sure that there is no commandment in the Bible that says you must have children when married.

If you don't want to raise any kids, just don't get married, I would say.
I do believe that's also her choice whether she wants to get married or not. I don't see why it's a big deal whether she wants children or not whenever she marries.

Yeah, I probably would need to be locked up in the loony bin if I were in his shoes. Then again, some of the things that's happened in this country he's done to himself.

There are a lot of couples who chose not to have Children. A lot of that can depend on culture. I have married friends that say they don't want kids, here in the USA no big deal, but maybe in other countries it is. Who knows?
