agirlandherguitar's post about her uncle's name being Thor made me giggle. I suppose if you wanted your kid to be the toughest kid on the playground, Thor would be an ideal name hehehe

SO....if you ever had (more) kids, what names would you choose? Or what are some names that you would never choose?

*Can hear all the men running away screaming*

I don't think of baby names. If you want to know why, PM me. I do, however, think and sometimes write down character names. To me, the name has to mean something related to the character. So I have a list of first names and last names... but I'm not above using a name generator.

I always used to half-joke that if we had a daughter, we should name her Claire. And her middle name would be Annette.

I like the names Shannon and Bella for girls. I'll let my future hubby pick the boy names.

Oh wait... I don't want kids.

I guess there's always future pets. :p

Yeah, perhaps I should have made a thread about cat names instead of babies :p

I really like the name Jane as a middle name. I used to nanny for a little girl who was named Emily Grace. However, somewhere in the middle of it all, I started calling her Emily Jane. I didn't intentionally change her name, and her mother thought it was better than Emily Grace!

Don't plan on having kids, but if i'd had them i loved Storm for a girl. A lot of people think its 'hippy' sounding, but i don't hear that. I think its pretty and strong all at once. Sadly, it would not sound right with my last night.
For guys, i think Seth Caleb. I actually considered changing my name to this at one point.

I like some longer names, but usually people take it upon themselves to shorten it. This has happened to me countless times and i hate it. I use my full name, not a shortened version. Jobs i've had are the worst. Customers would see my name and shorten it, thinking i was being forced to use my full name. Even worse there could be 5 variations to shorten my name, and people just picked what they preferred. Ugh...

In my opinion, there are some names that suit adults but not babies, like George, Fred or Bob. Imagine looking down at your newborn and nodding, yep, I will name him George. Baby George.

Not that there is anything wrong with the names, it is just hard to picture a baby named George

Margaret Mitchell considered naming Scarlett O' Hara Storm. It's not hippy at all.

I named a goldfish Mustang Sally. There was also Veruca Salt, Miss Piggy, and Al.

...those fish were supposed to have been turtle food. The turtle died, the fish lived on for 10 years.

Can't remember the turtle's name.

Uh...names! Oh! If I ever have another boy, he'll be Simon. That was our second choice for our son.
