Is there one moment that you look back at fondly, that really makes your heart light up or brings a smile to your face that happened since you've been a believer? I'm sure some of us have a ton...and maybe some of us don't really have any. I was just wondering...
I'll share mine, feel free to share one or as many as you like.
One moment for me,aside from the time that I accepted Jesus was when I found my 1st church to go to. It was so amazing hearing the word in a way I'd never been exposed to before. Our pastor & assistant pastor were the perfect contrast to one another, such a balance. It was the first time as well where I finally thought I fit in someplace, even though in the physical I was a complete oddball.
Another special time for me was when a few of my friends I had been praying for & witnessing to finally gave their hearts to Jesus. It was pretty amazing to see them finally let God into their hearts & change them. I got a small glimpse as to how happy it must make Jesus feel when we finally say "yes" to him & his love for us.

Another special moment since I've been saved was being able to spend 3 weeks down in Haiti back in my twenties. I went down with a few members of my band & some of our youth group at the time. We stayed in Port Au Prince for a week helping a woman there who ran a shelter for abused & homeless women & then we stayed with another missionary group that was stationed right along the beach front & they would have dry feedings & help the villagers who lived up & down the coastline in the "jungle" for lack of better terms. These people were even poorer than the ones who lived in the inner city. It was a very humbling time, realizing that here I was in a 4th world country & the people here that were saved were so sold out to Jesus. Even with nothing..barely a roof over their heads, no electricity,no running water...nothing material, these people still managed to smile, welcome us...had such joy & such a love for God,it was mind boggling! I felt so ashamed for all I had & did nothing with. All I had & was still not satisfied with. Those people, along with God taught me so much in those 3 weeks. Something I will always be grateful for & blessed by. Every time I look at pictures from that trip,it makes me smile & I can't help but wish I could rekindle that thankfulness in my heart again.

The first time that Jesus seemed "real" to me. Yes, He was always real, but He wasn't real to me until that day. I was 12.

The day I was healed from an ongoing health problem. February 26th, 2002. It was around 9 PM when the pain left, and it has never returned. :D

The time I was led very strongly to witness to a non-Christian. He prided himself on being an intellectual, and wasn't too keen on listening to what I had to say... until I started telling him things about his life that I had no human way of knowing. I may have been more surprised than he was. And he listened pretty well after that. :D

A time when God got me out of physical danger by telling me what to do and giving me step-by-step instructions when I was too rattled to think clearly. I was... maybe 15 or 16?

The first time I ever heard God actually speak to me. I think I was 16. There was someone I met online and we started getting "romantic" feelings for each other and we both knew it, and talked about it. Then I went away to youth camp for a week and as I was praying in the evening service, I actually heard God tell me "No." When I got back to talk with her about, God had told her the same thing. We still managed to be really good friends though, and she was the first person to call and talk to me when I broke up with my first girlfriend.

Anytime I play bass at church and people tell me they could feel my joy, and passion, and worship coming off of me as I played. Someone once told me they saw a spirit of worship on me they've never seen before. It makes me happy to know that God's using that.

One time a guy came in the chat room on this site and started out by saying he was an atheist. A couple days later he led himself in the sinners prayer over the mic. There have been many other times I've seen people get saved, but this one was the most emotionally dramatic. It was awesome :).

I was baptized when I was 16, but did not live at all like a Christian until about 3 years ago-

I had left my husband. I was living in my mom's guest room. I'd been there about a month, and my days and nights were spent driving and listening to angry music...because I was angry. Mad enough to kick things, to yell, ALL. THE. TIME. For that entire month. It was like...as I was driving the 3 hours from where my husband was to my mom's house, every single bit of pain or fear or anger snowballed until I was feeling all of it at once, and I stayed that way for the next 4 (ish) weeks.

And then one afternoon, I laid down on my bed to take a nap, but decided maybe I should pray instead. It was the first non-angry prayer I'd said for a good while. I put my face in the pillow and prayed for my husband, which didn't make a lot of sense to me then because we were headed for divorce. I was feeling really lost, like I was bothering my family by being there (I was...you can't go home sometimes, it's true...because once you're married, that's not HOME anymore).

I was quiet a while, and this thought popped into my head- "Go home". Out of nowhere. Pretty sure it was the first time I'd ever listened hard enough to hear God speak to me. I felt...peace. No more anger, no more tears, just peace. So I listened, and I went home, and now we have 2 beautiful babies.

God is so good :)

I was at a funeral for a fellow officer who'd died of a heart attack years ago. While we were all standing in formation during taps, God spoke to my heart about a certain officer standing near me...an older guy who was a Vietnam vet, who'd had a very rough upbringing and who had lived a VERY rough life.

I began to pray for him often. I even sent him a card that simply said Jesus loved him. No signature. Just that message. I began to understand that the man had no understanding of love at all. He had nothing to draw from. I continued to pray.

FIVE YEARS LATER that man walked into my church and gave his heart to the Lord. You could have knocked me over with a feather. I was so deeply moved that I could not stop crying.

I went to lunch with him and his wife a few months later. He finally figured out who sent the card. He said nothing, but the look on his face said it all.

NEVER give up on people. We don't know where they've come from or why they are the way they are. But for the grace of God we could be the same way...and He is still working on all of US too. :)

When I finally opened my heart and realized something just wasn't right. I had to really listen to GOD, I was afraid and wasn't sure why I was having anxiety attacks all the time. I finally just let myself be at his mercy and got help. I don't like asking for help. My head is clear now, I don't think I'm crazy anymore and God has worked wonders in my life.

The day I realized God had removed an addiction (I'd gone two straight days without evening thinking about such & such, which was extremely unusual). I tested it two more days... didn't even think about such & such. HUGE DRAMATIC 180º change! I was free. Holy smoke it felt great.

When I fellowship at church and worship with other saints in the body of Christ. It’s nothing like witnessing everyone experience the presence of the Lord as a whole. It’s a freeing experience to be able to worship in the presence of the Lord and to feel supported. There have been times when I have come into the Lords house heavily burdened and unable to even worship. One hug, or word of encouragement from a discerning soul helped me begin to release and heal.

I was a campus cop manning a parking booth when a young man, maybe 12 years old give or take a couple of years rode up to the booth on his bicycle. The Holy Spirit led me in leading the young man to the Lord. Then he got back on his bike and rode away. It was a short moment in time but I look forward to learn what all the young man did during his life as a member of the Body of Christ. I figure I'll meet and recognize him in heaven.

God showing me where I went wrong and having mercy on me a sinner saved by grace
one of my friends who was deep in sin and wordly lifestyle become a christian, I heard from her sister after she passed away that she had given her heart to the Lord two days before she disappeared. Now I have no doubt that shes saved in heaven and meet her there
