Hi all, i thought this topic was interesting as i'm going through it as well... I'm single, and this one time during my prayer and devotion time, I prayed to God and layed out what I want in a guy, also, if he's the one for me, that God will make it clear as day that he is the one for me.. I also asked for his name, and somehow i got a michael. I keep that prayer consistent believing that it will happen. I've also read on other stories similar to my dream story, that it's really happened for them. What do you think? DO you think that we can choose? or that God has the ONE designed especially for you? also, do you think that i'm just being supersticious or that it can really happen that way?

I personally do not believe in soul mates. I would not limit god, he could have given you the name michael, as the one your going to marry.

There's no one designed specially just for you I think. If you notice, every man and woman (excluding those with both or no sexual characteristics) are designed to be compatable with eaech other by virtue of being human and God gave people all the right bits and pieces they need. What can we learn from cowboy and indian movies about soul mates? Well you go to some tribe, the chief hooks you up with his attractive indian daughter, you go into the tee-pee with the young squaw, yada yada yada, and you're marred, simple!!

Soul mates are nothing more than people who you "click" with, personality wise, emotionally etc. But it's best to find an opposite I think. Black/White, red-hair/green-hair, short/tall, fat/skinny.. natural selection , survival of the fittest , oops *slaps himself on the hand*, sorry about that, Freudian slip, "be gone Darwinian theory of evolution", now where was I....ahh yes,, in the words of a very famous person, it's better to have a sole mate, rather than a soul mate. And just tonight I hear they are talking about legalising polygamy, very timely word of advice.

oops sorry i forgot to add that i don't believe in soulmates, but i do believe that God has a special one prepared for you, as opposed to me choosing whom ever, but that's just my opinion.. but great feedback from yous ... :) aargh i can't believe they're legalizing polygamy.. no surprise there.. this world is in need of God-fearing leadership..
