Purity rings??? Are u serious? I mean...for me thats the ultimate in Christian commercialism....jargon....cheese... (sorry if u faithfully wear one, each to their own)

Seriously though, It would not make a shread of difference to me cos its how that value is reflected in your life that counts.

I think we spend too much time worrying about relationships instead of focussing on the most significant relationship in our life! Who is going to bring along the right girl/guy for us? Who is so concerned for us that he knows the number of hairs on our head? Who promises us good plans to prosper us? Who said ' seek first the kingdom of God...and all these things will be added to you as well?' Who knows the aches of our heart and will satisfy them in the right time - his time? Who is worthy of trusting our lives with? Who will be my contentment in all circumstances? Who will teach me, use me and grow me in my life RIGHT NOW? Yes, Jesus is the answer to all these questions!

By the way....Im preaching to myself in this too...I aint got it all together...I crave a man to share my life with..BUT... I know I must trust that God has it in hand. So, instead, I ask God, what do you want me to do today? How do you want to use me in my singleness? Are there opportunities where i can be used to serve you in this stage of my life? If so - I wanna be your hands, I wanna be your feet, I'll go where u send me - (thanx Audio Adrenaline)

I wear a very small engagement ring to try and ward off the guys (although, it doesn't actually work, so I think the ring is more for decorative purpose now), but I've never actually owned a purity ring. I used to want one until I realized that most of the people I know personally that have purity rings and wear them religiously aren't amazingly pure.

If you want a purity ring then get one, but don't expect it to have some sort of magical powers that will make you a pure person. That comes from God and you choosing to be pure, not from a piece of metal wrapped around your finger.

I started dating my husband when I was 15, he was also 15. We wore promise rings, to show each other that we were committed to each other and to God. On our wedding we had been together for 7 years and we were both still virgins! It worked for us. But your heart has to be in the right place for it. If you're wearing a ring just to be cool, or to get chicks, then I don't think that it will last too long. In any case You will need the Lords help to stay pure!

The thing about porn is, its never satisfying. Which seems to be more the root of the problem here. Rings and silly trinkets aside. (and please forgive me if I sound presumptuous) But if you believe a ring is going to stop you from looking at porn as well as act like a chick magnet. You got another thing coming, especially when you take into account the amount of temptation that lies in this area for guys like us. (Yes us, I've already your some of your other topics. I aspire to a lot of the same things you do. Computers, programming, electronics..etc)
That being said, remaining online all the time...The reality of porn/smut is a firm reality for us internet dwellers.

I say:
Put the ring aside, materialistic times won't get you anywhere.
If you seriously have trouble with porn. Seek help. (It can become an addiction)
As for your girl issues.

"Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."

You can pray for a girl all you want, but one isn't going to magically appear at your doorstep. This site might be the first step to taking action to find that perfect girl. Keep praying, an start looking! (I'm more or less in the same boat as you girl wise)
Adam was lucky God made Eve for him...Guys of the 21st century don't have that luck...Or the spare ribs!

I just think it'll remind me why I want to get rid of porn from my life.
Well let's see, I went from everyday to about once a month and I'm trying to push it even farther.
I know God isn't gonna magically drop a girl on my lap. I'm doing my part to try to get ready.

okay people i got it!!! Purity sunglasses! But they would be so dark if you wanted to look at porn you couldnt! AAAAND the best part... they are literally strapped around your head and they have a key so you cant get them off!!!!

I totally agree with Kakashi, everything he said above ^^ is true and i cant disagree with anything.
Let God's grace be the reason you dont look at porn - a ring will not stop u and instead of turning to a ring, a circle of silver or gold or whatever materilistic thinng- turn to God and/or the Bible. This will nit only help you stop with the porn but it might help you grow spiritually. As for a girl likeing you more, I know a heck of a lot of boys - i have 5 brother, but anywayz, its purilly there personallity that strikes me, i do not look at a persons hand to see if i would be frightened or whatever, i listen to the things they say, there manarisims and there testimony. =P

That doesn't really work until a guy hits about 25 to 30, when I was younger I never thought to look at a womans hand to see if I could be interested in her.
