Mhmm..yep I went there. As soon as Halloween hits, we usually get our first snowfall here in my province. I remember trick or treating when I was a kid going as a princess and wearing pants under my costume, jacket and mitts. Kind of took away from the princess image lol. Anyways do you have any things you like to do each year? Skiing, snowboarding, crafts, snowmobiling, travelling, counting the days until Spring, going over old receipts and doing a audit?

I've never been trick or treating. I know, I know...

I like winter. I like snow. I love watching snow fall. I haven't been sledding in forever, but I think that's fun. I might try skiing this year. I have not so great balance, so we'll see how that goes...

There isn't really anything I can think of that I "usually" do, besides pray to have snow on Christmas day. :)

Here on this side of the world it is early summer, and in winter we never get snow except up in the mountains its so sad. As for trick or treating, it doesn't exist here and if it did my parents would ban it as satanic. The only thing to look forward to here is that maybe once a month your pool will be warm enough to swim.

PS: Anyone want to by me a ticket to the US I'll bring Biltong

PS PS: Biltong is kinda like Jerky only thousands of times better

I like winter clothes, but I'm afraid that doesn't count as an activity :p. It doesn't snow where I live, but I would love to go skiing or snowboarding, I'm sure I would like it ...at least it looks fun on tv!

What do I usually do? I can't think of anything special I do during winter, besides drinking lots of hot chocolate and snuggling in my blanket. Winter also reminds me of Christmas, so ocassional you would see me listening to Christmas carols.

"Drifting" my old Honda on corners when I was living in Michigan and just looking up and watching snow falling by looking at a light pole...

Wow...lol I used to love Halloween as a kid...not even the trick or treating so much as the getting a pumpkin & carving it out with my Mom,then her baking the seeds...mmmmmm I loved that smell. Winter was awesome as a kid too..I always wanted to be outside in the snow...sledding,but most of all...reliving moments from The Empire Strikes Back & being on the planet Hoth! ohhhh yeahhhhhhhh geekdom in full effect ya'll.

Unfortunately,as an adult my winter sports included shoveling or snow blowing snow up to 3 or 4 times a day...or having to walk miles in it to work, only then to be sent home after working 2 hrs because we'd decide to close due to the weather. Falling on my buns from patches of ice I didn't see was also a big hit for me over the past 10 -15 Winters. lol

Now my winter fun includes, but not limited to staying inside, drinking ungodly amounts of hot cocoa & coffee and thanking God I'm not homeless when there's 12 feet of snow outside.

BTW,I would love to go drifting in the snow...Fast & Furious Snowbound Edition!!! (Where's Vin Diesel when ya' need him?)

I'm definitely a 'count the days until spring' kind of person. I enjoy the holidays though. :) I just really really really really really hate the cold. Snuggle up!

I love winter! Not quite as much as fall...but...you know, close. There's so much to do! Sledding, baking, bonfires, hot drinks, holidays, building snowmen (my favorite is building tons of tiny ones, particularly right where someone is going to have to park...I put their little stick arms up in the air so they look scared...my mom used to feel so bad, having to run them over).

Also...wearing scarves. And hats. And super poofy coats. And huge boots that go up to my knees so I can tromp through the snow comfortably.

YES!

Winter is probably my favorite season.

Another thing I like about winter is turning my electric blanket on a couple hours before bed, and then after I shower I can crawl into a toasty warm bed. :) My room is upstairs and it's not very insulated. It gets very cold. It's gotten under 60F in there many nights in the winter, so an electric blanket feels like heaven!
