I attend a nondenominational church. I consider myself a believer. I believe God is seperating me for a reason and I quit celebrating all pagan holidays. I know many people dont agree with me but I am doing it for God not man.
I don't celebrate pagan holidays either, only the Christian ones. Christmas - Jesus coming to earth as a baby boy to live as a man. Easter- Jesus suffering, dying and rising to new life, so that we too might die in Him and rise in Him to new life.

I guess we differ in opinion regarding christian holidays. Its so hard to get away from outlr pagan Calendar.
Even our days of the week. Sun day. Moon day Thors day.

Over the years I have had the privilege of being connected to the catholic church, various Christian communities where people have come from lots of different denominations and the Anglican Church. Currently going to a church of Christ.

Really dig the diversity in the body of Christ. We have so many opportunities to learn!!!

They only have as much power as you give them. The one true God is far greater than any false god or goddess or our own self-worship.

There is a lot of evidence that Jesus bday was sept 11 3BC. Either way the bible says that some people call one day holy and some another. Each should do what is right in their own mind. :)

The church I'm attending is non denominational. Life City Church. We believe in God the Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. We don't have any dress code. But of course it is obvious that we should wear proper clothes. There's no food forbidden. It's just purely about having a serious and deeper relationship with God. Above all, I respect other teachings as long as we are serving One God, the is what matters.

So does that mean that a pagan should do whatever he feels right or if a muslim think it right to kill himself and take the life of what he considers to be infidel?

This is not a debate thread. If you want to argue create your own thread, don't hijack others.

Your post was fine. Some people feel they need to be antagonistic and nit pick.

I go to the Church of Christ. It's simplistic in its nature I believe it sticks closely to the bible and the first century church.

I don't go to church. I observe Sabbath quietly in my own home and study and learn and pray. I guess that makes me "Peculiar." There ya go. What difference does the label make to you? What judgements do you make about it?

None. Just that it's important to also worship in community, as the Body of Christ.

So what denomination have you chosen?

And if you haven't chosen a denomination, please don't say "non-denominational"; instead, give the name of your church and a short summary of your beliefs.

[lol since this particular topic isn't as apparently incitive as my other threads have been, I don't believe it will get many responses. But I'm bored, and interested in the diversity of the people here.]

I am a member of an Independent Baptist church :)

And you?
I am non-denominational, but we fellowship with churches with other Masters Seminary Grads (Grace Advance Mid Atlantic) GAMA
I always labeled myself as a Reformed Baptist although I have never been Baptist. I stand by the doctrines of grace and the 5 sola's.
Thanks for starting the thread!!!
