Yes, that's great, IammiHis, but, this particular singles forum is not the place for that kind of ask.
Go to the chatroom, or, miscillaneous forum for that kind of request :)

I don't see that to be mean but then everyone will start posting denominations and non-denominations and pretty soon the singles forum is replete with want ads. :(

Blessings, bro :)

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold the phone. What exactly are you implying here? That people that DON'T believe in Calvinism aren't in the truth?

I get that you want someone that shares the same beliefs as you do, but come on....

Maybe I'm just tired and reading this in the wrong light. If so, I apologize in advance.

He might. It just looked like he was saying, "I want a girl who believes in Calvinism, because she'll know the truth." And it kind of threw me. As I said, if that's not the case then, I apologize for sounding quarrelsome. Not my intent.

I'm a Calvinist, and my church is full of young women like me who are also Calvinists ...well, at least that's what I think since that's what the church believes . Anyway, we do exist :)

Lil sister Christian, that's "Truth" with a capital T!

"I can distinguish between inane paper and the omnipotent Word of God."

I'm feeling Germanic, scholarly and oh so masculine--I'm going to answer for him!

About AmmiAmmiel

Calvinist,

I'm a keen exclusivist[:

-> Religious exclusivism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Religious exclusivism is the doctrine or belief that only one particular religion or belief system is true. In its normative form it is simply the belief in one's own religion and non-belief in religions other than one's own. Linked with a doctrine of salvation, religious exclusivism teaches that only the members of one religion or sect will reach Heaven or any given soteriological aim, while others will be doomed to eternal damnation or exclusion from a paradisiacal afterlife."

I wish more women were reformed in their theology. I like his post. "How can two walk together unless they agree"(Amos 3:3).

Calvinism has a lot of good points, but it can't be the entire picture. I think this falls under the "My thoughts are not your thoughts" category. To answer the question of free will versus predestination, the answer is "yes." There are scriptures that support both ideas so it has to be some sort of mezcla of the two.

Try the bible study forum.

That's where they take non salvation issues and work themselves into such a frenzy that it becomes a theological pissing contest.

We go here to escape that nonsense. Last time I checked, quite a few women also post on the bible study forum.

Oh yeah! God sometimes works in paradoxes according to our human brains. He's far greater than any of us can imagine. I also believe God is sovereign and that we have free will.

Ammi, I'm too old for you. Also, I like women and you're a guy.

Rom 8:21-30 " For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed
to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30
Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He
also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified."

Eph 1
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,To the saints who are at Ephesus and who are faithful in Christ Jesus: [SUP]2 [/SUP]Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, [SUP]4 [/SUP]just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love [SUP]5 [/SUP]He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, [SUP]6 [/SUP]to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. [SUP]7 [/SUP]In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace [SUP]8 [/SUP]which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight [SUP]9 [/SUP]He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him [SUP]10 [/SUP]with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him [SUP]11 [/SUP]also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, [SUP]12 [/SUP]to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. [SUP]13 [/SUP]In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, [SUP]14 [/SUP]who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.

Predestination works for me because man is utterly incapable of coming to God of his own volition. Even after adam & eve sinned they moved away from God. Man does this naturally after the fall so therefore can't save himself without intervention from God.

God gives humans the faith to have faith in him. But I refuse to believe that God predestines some for Hell, with no chance of them accepting Christ and his sacrifice.
