now i am not that man... but i believe what he said as a godly truth.

he stated...

a godly man and a godly woman shouldn't be concerned of outer appearances... such as... tall, skinny, short, more to love, ugly, beautiful, etc... BUT a godly man and a godly woman... should be looking for that godly character from within that godly man or from that godly woman reflecting out to the world... a godly loving character.

for a godly character builds on a solid foundation based upon... meekness, understanding, gentleness, compassion, long suffering, loyalty, respectfulness, temperate, strength for each other, courage to stand together, joyfulness, trust, righteousness between each other, to live to god's holy word together and for the family, patience, and a holy godly love for each other.

for if our lord jesus christ gave the ultimate act of love for you and i... then shouldn't we give to each other that same godly love to one another based upon finished works of glory and of a godly love for us all.

so don't be scared how the world views your godly character of love expressed to one another... for the world will never understand... end of statement.

now i am an old fashioned traditional christian man who values old ways.

i am not scared to show my expressed godly love... and i do it in many ways for all who are around me each and everyday.

and when i say i am old fashioned i mean old fashioned... everyone i know says that i am an old soul trapped in the wrong era... i was born and raised this way and i am only 38 years old.

much love and god bless you all... from my heart and my soul.

Yeah that all sounds good and things, but seriously, the whole you should only love someones character not someone youre attracted too is about as lame as every kid in little league getting a trophy instead of just the winners.

Well.. thats how the world should work.. but thats not how the world really works. People will always be judging the outside and inside.

Lets not forget that your outter appearance reflects your inner appearances in most cases. For example, you see a dude walking down the street with 5 tattoo's.. your not going to think "oh wow, he must love Jesus". You'll be quickly crossing the street.

Really? I like tattoos. I understand the point you're making, but for me, it's more about how they're looking at me/subtle behavioral cues more so than their appearance on whether I want to cross the street or not, or judging whether they love Jesus or not.

Perhaps if your a judgmental tool you'd cross the street. I've never judged someone's faith on their number of tattoos. I know plenty of christians whose bodies are covered in ink. Also tattoos dont scare me neough to cross the street. Where do you live? The 1950s?

brother shawn.

yes that is how the world works... no denying that at all.

BUT AS A CHRISTIAN... WE ARE NOT OF THIS WORLD.

therefore... this SHOULD BE... APPLIED and EXPRESSED in our daily lives and to all those around us.

and this IS ACCORDING to god's holy word for us all to follow and express to the world.

much love and god bless brother

brother nautilus.

i have 5 huge tattoos, i am 6 foot tall, and i am a well stout individual from hard work and also from working out.

i scare a lot of people based on my appearance... yet when they talk to me... they realize their preconceived assumptions of me was wrong.

then i show and tell them how society has taught and trained us to be this way through all its classifications of what is and what isn't... and through groupings of all individuals as cattle... as to say this is were you belong.

so many people living and trapped in a box created by our enemy... never to go out to discover the truth of god's holy way of life... given freely to us all.

i am glad to see you're not judgmental on tattoos... mine serve as an example of who i use to be and why i am forever moving forward with god in me... leading and guiding.

never judge a book by it's cover... the gospels shows us this very thing as well that happened against our lord jesus christ.

he was judged and condemned... in every way.

much love and god bless brothert

also brother nautilus.

let me ask you a question... which would you prefer in your woman... a godly character woman by your side or a beautiful woman by your side?

much love and god bless brother...

beauty is but an illusion to fool one's mind, one's heart, and one's soul... only to wow for but a moment.

but character stands forever in a storm and can manifest and produce desires of pure love to overcome any obstacle over one's lifetime.

Who's the girl? I think she's rather pretty. I have an X on my head too, you just can't see mine. I was gonna carve it on there, but that's a pretty big commitment. Really I used to look a fright before Jesus got a hold of me, and not to say I'm not still odd, but the point is....some little mixed up girl with a tattoo on her face, could grow and be redeemed and be a beautiful child of God, and since God is sovereign, I'm confident her future husband wouldn't mind the tattoo. It's our uniqueness that sets us apart from one another. Of course you are allowed to be attracted to your significant other, but beauty fades, you have to be attracted to the inside more than the outside.

The only prerequisite I have for a future marriage is that the man and I be equally yoked and determined to make Jesus the pivotal factor for existence here, until our bodies are redeemed.

That being said, I'm a sucker for silvery white hair, and should not mind my spouse to "go grey" like the sooner the better =P

Just out of curiosity, what does an "old fashioned man" consist of in this century? (in reality not in ideally land) I know that sounds like I'm making a joke, but I'm totally curious.

I am sure many of the early christian missionaries faced people far scarier than a guy with 5 tattoos. Envision these missionaries on a remote island with a tribe of headhunters who practice cannibalism, trying to convert them to Christianity. Believe it or not, some of them were.

I was picking on Holly when I posted that pic. The pic is of a young Susan Atkins of the Manson Family infamy. She died in prison some years back.
