Well the title is pretty explanatory. Just curious what fears the singles forums deal with?

I'll post mine here in a bit.

Ok so to get it started...

Honestly there are always thoughts of being alone, dying to sharks at the beach and what not, but really, and its unavoidable, my biggest fear is losing my parents. I cant imagine my life without them in it. Sometimes the thought crosses my mind about if one of them died and I'm almost just broken by the thought. I truly have no idea what I would do, and where my life would go at that point scares me.

My biggest fear started when I listened to Hitler speak. I couldn't understand the words, altho it was translated. No one could hear him and not understand the threat of him. Afterwards, when people from Germany started arriving in the US, I would ask all about it, wondering how any one could let it happen. What they said frightened me, for I wondered how I would react if I lived there.

They said that the country couldn't really recover after WW1, and if you are hungry it makes you think in a different way.

I have been afraid of being swept up in a world so frightening that I could loose my Love of the Lord, that something besides God would come first.

I found that you really don't need to fear being alone. Now I have lost my ability to see, hear, and work well, and walking is tough, my family can't take time for me. I am absolutely alone, I and dial a ride. It is very freeing. I am free to do anything I want. No planning dinners, worrying about what to wear, and it makes no difference what I say, except to obey the Lord to be sure I only build others up and never do harm. I live in a separate world from all, and I can make it anything I want. My last girlfriend passed away two weeks ago, now I am the only one left except newer acquaintances.
There is true joy in a life alone. I still have my love for those I don't visit with. The memories of the times we had together are very precious. But there is joy in this, too.

Dying.

Well, to put more to it, it's the thought of oblivion that scares me more then death.

I am skeered of heights. (This chick is never going parasailing, Neeveen!)

Fear of something happening to my kids, or of what would happen to them if something happened to ME.

.
My first job was as an overhead crane operator, my cab was 80 feet off the ground. My grandson base jumped from the cliffs in Norway and the highest building in the world in Dubai, he says it is thrilling. Absolutely nothing to fear there, you are home free!

I'm only scared of heights if I'm on something like a ladder or a stepping stool (moreso the stepping stool). It's like...one wrong move on those things and you're goin' down! o_O

Buuut. I am PETRIFIED of anything that has a stinger on it. Bees, wasps, hornets...you won't see me anywhere near where they are.

not surprisingly, i have a list:

+ what will happen after my dad dies, and how i will handle being without a loving and supportive parent who tells me that he's proud of me and gives me pep talks when i need them (more often that you'd think).

+ losing my thirst for God and falling back into the person i once was

+ becoming mentally or physically infirm (i.e. losing my mind or cognitive function)

+ becoming trapped in a house fire

+ becoming trapped underwater

I have observed that what one fears the most often happens to the person. i used to be afraid that i'll marry late (over 30) and even though i had a stable relationship for many years, we never got married. the relationship ended. Now i'm still single and trusting God to be married.
For this reason, i have learnt to deal with whatever fears that pops up in ma mind...subjecting such thoughts to the authority of the Holy spirit cos God has not given me the spirit of fear. as much as i can, i keep my thoughts positive, i don't want any negative situation playing out in ma life again.

I used to say that my greatest fear was dying like either Schumann or Brahms. It's no longer my greatest fear, but it's still a fear. Thankfully, the peace of Christ makes it a conquerable fear. ^_^

For the time being, my greatest fear is really rooted in what is happening with my brother's family. Those of you close to me know of what I speak, and I shan't say much more here about it...but I think, if any of you have family members, you understand what it is like to fear for the worst. Thing is, most of us believe that death is one of the worst things that can happen to a family member, when in reality, we should know that there are far worse things to fear. :(

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow.

I have a fear of people thinking I'm not trustworthy. I mean...I know the opposite is true. If someone tells me something I don't blab it. When someone asks me to do something I typically do it. It's just...I dunno, I guess.

I have kind of a weird one...getting nosebleeds. I hate nosebleeds. Those WILL give me anxiety to the point I throw up. Whilst having the nosebleed. It's the worst.
