Gah. Okay I will give you three reasons why I enjoy just plain dill pickles compared to other types of pickles.
1. When you bite into a pickle what is your first reaction to the taste? Were you expecting a pickle that was to taste like sugary candy? The answer is no because that was never meant to happen!
2. Pickles are most eaten by pregnant women and hairy barbeque men, do you expect these two groups of people both brutal in their own way to respond to a pickle that is modified by its original taste to be happy with this occurrence ? no! That baby wants to digest a sourly cucumber and like it!
3. It tis not possible. Congrats you broked the earth.

The 17 Day is like eating candy. They are CRISP, Sweet, You cut the cucumbers in 1/4's Long Ways, then you cut out the HEART like where the seeds would be. Then start the Process. You only use the select 3-4" cucumbers, small diamature of 2" a lot of work. Women now days just buy DILL in a jar off the shelf.
The art of Canning is gone. Green Beans, Peaches, Apples, Apple Butter, Home made butter, Cakes from scrach, Ho made bread, Ho made Jelly, Strawberry patch, Fruit Trees, Gardens, Lettuce with Bacon Grease, Vingar, and Sugar on the top, Ho made Mashed Patotes, Corn on the cob, Biscuts and Gravey. I long for the real women of the world.
