with all the talk of super-serious, i need a little bit of a humor fix. awhile back, misty77 i were talking about this topic, and we agreed it would be a fun thread idea.

1. what original superhero would you be? what makes them "super"? do they have an "achilles heel"?

2. who are you, as the alter ego?

Um Cyclops. And not crappy movie cyclops, but awesome became the phoenix, killed professor x, and is basically a younger magneto now Cyclops in the comics.

Or do I have to create my own superhero? In which case i would just have as many powers as I could list. lol

Do I know any super heroes? I am into classic Sci-Fi, but the superheroes fad just passed me by at some point!

If anyone knows superheroes and wants to name me, go for it. But be gentle about it! LOL

I've always liked Venom even though technically he's an anti-hero/villian. I like how he is just your average guy, but has to deal with the symbiote suit which is kind of representative of sin or the flesh which everyone has to fight. Eddie Brock does fail to fight his hate for Spider-man but did help a lot of people in the comics even when the suit would have had him kill them.

I'd probably be the mom from The Incredibles.

Because:

Plus the ability to reach kids fighting in the back of the van.

My superhero name would be Lazyboy, my super power would allow me to blend into any type of furniture.

Any superhero who could fly. With gas at $3.70 a gallon where I live, can you imagine how much gas money I'd save? It'd also save me getting irritated at traffic, slow drivers, I could sleep in later because I could get to work in 60 seconds...so on and so forth. :)

Along with that superpower, I suppose I'd need to add on a "Hair/makeup/clothes stay okay during flight". Otherwise, I can picture what my curly hair would look like after some very high wind speeds. ;)

I shall be called Rachel's Edge.

Or this song...

Is it all the same? 'Cause in two days
tomorrow will be yesterday
I know that could go without
having to be said
So how do I make a change
A difference in the world that's
surrounding me
I think it's in the moments
that are overlooked
with passing innocence

It is what you do and why you do it
It's who you are without self through it
It's where you go and if you'll stand up to it
It's what you do, come on

Now that's a superhero, Now that's a superhero
We all can be a hero, Superhero

Do I take the blame? I've been waiting
for the big spotlit stage
But it's in the simple things
that we get to face each day
Time is not to waste no, and a hero
doesn't need to hear of the praise
I think it's in the moments that we
grab onto and not think of ourselves

I'm going to really date myself with this one but I can relate to him. I'd be Mighty Mouse - He would go flying and sing at the same time Here I Come To Save The Day! I'm always trying to smooth things over, fix them, solve problems, help people get back together when they have had a fight, etc.... I am a young old person so those of you who know of Mighty Mouse will get it.

The rest of you young ones probably don't even know who I'm talking about... it's good for a laugh anyway.

I came out as Batgirl quite some time ago, but Supergirl gave me this cup for Christmas so I have to use it. I don't want to hurt her feelings. She can be quite the drama queen. She totally trashed my Batcycle last time with that laser vision thing.

I would be Bible Man and then I will send God's love to world. Instead fighting the bad guys I would preach to them. My super power would the Love of Jesus. I would have healing touch.

The new venom is actually pretty sweet. It's Flash Thompson who lost his legs in the Iraq conflict and the government bonds him with the Venom symbiote to let him walk again and he becomes the ultimate black-ops soldier...

i could kid myself, but realistically, i'd probably be something like this guy:

Too Much Coffee Man.jpg

with the power of staying up too late and overthinking situations!
