It's beautiful here today! (Another winter storm is coming later in the week, but for now it's great! :) )

I've been working outside today (everything smells wonderfully new :) ) and I see so many things I'd love to do both indoors and out. My project list keeps growing. Today I'm cleaning/rearranging the barn on my property and working in the yard. While I've been sitting here, I've decided that I would like to refinish my dining table/chairs and a cedar chest from my bedroom. Maybe even paint some furniture pieces in bright colors!

Spring is a time of renewal, inwardly as well. God is leading me to make so many changes in my life. No time like the present! :)

Is it Spring where you are? What are you excited about? What changes might it bring for you? Any projects you'd like to share?

It's been bouncing back and forth here between "warmer" weather (40s and 50s) and colder weather. This week it's supposed to be in the 30s, and I love winter but I'm ready for spring and warm weather to stick around! A 65F day with a warm breeze with the sun out but clouds in the sky is my idea of a perfect day.

I'm ready for:
- Opening up the windows in the house and having fresh air come through the house again, with the scent of budding trees and flowers and warmth. I think this is what I look forward to most, at the beginning.
- Taking walks outside, around my block and down to the river
- Not having to take 5 minutes to put on snow boots, gloves, a coat, and a scarf just to go outside to drive to work
- Sitting under the tree in the backyard and journaling and drawing
- Sitting around our fire pit on a cool evening and drinking coffee and talking with friends and family

As far as projects go, I want to really spring clean: Go through all my clothes and old apartment stuff and get rid of a lot of it. I have a lot of clothes that I do like and that I do wear, but surely I don't need them all. I also want to transform my boring dressers and paint them up somehow. Possibly rearrange my room just for something new.

We don't have spring around here. It's close to 80 degrees right now, and it's awful. Stupid California.

It is cold and wet here today. Yesterday it was warm and sunny. Can't go by the weather...

My crab apple tree is in full bloom, and that's good enough for me. :)

It's about 27 degrees here today. It takes awhile for us to get warmer weather, I think by Thursday it will be 47 degrees, which I'm not kidding that's shorts and open the window weather around here. I would like to paint some stuff in and outside of our house this spring.

I just wuv spwing!

wait, I'm ...Pepe. Ok...

It was warm today! And sunny! So, I turned a little dirt today but besides that, do you remember those doors I made last fall? Those doors out of a bunch of 2X6 that I made for an outbuilding?...

Well anyway, I furthered my useless effort and had a bunch of these so I mounted one on the inside so I could make this completely hopeless door hook in case I ever need it which I won't.

I didn't know whether to put this in this thread or the one titled Ridiculous.

i'm loving the beautiful weather here. all my old spring friends are blooming, and a week ago, i put in a bunch of late summer/fall bulbs.

i'm replacing my fencing and adding a ceanothus (victoria) hedge around the side of my yard that lacks privacy in the coming weeks.

i love love love the hook. especially for the outbuilding. since i'm a construction idiot, how did you mount that hook, curiously?

i actually love purposing lots of rusticallycool items in functional ways. i utilize horseshoes on my utensil rack, "arrowhead" fence tops for my coat rack, and lot of more recycled items all over the house.

one of my pals has said before that if i could find a good reason run a stream through my house, i probably would.

and that's mostly true.

its 15 degees here and snowing. I haven't really seen spring yet. It will be another month for me. I am planning on an addition to my cabin. That would be my big spring project.

it was real easy - I just put a red cape on the other side of the door and stood back. Seriously, I just cut a piece of 2 X wood to match the inside of the horn so the horn would slide over it, then mounted the wood and used my good friend gorilla glue, slid the horn on and viola!

Piles of snow still, here; hunks of ice in the drive! :)

Blessings.

Is it spring already? It seems like summer never left here. I think we had 3 whole days when the temp dipped below 60F. It does get a bit chilly at night though.

I agree, eugenius! I'm so tired of snow!

It's been a fantastic weekend! I think it's the beginning of a Spring cleaning frenzy!
So looking forward to being outside more and online less. My dog loved it too. :)

It was a beautiful day today on this side of California. It's been about 60 to 70 degrees on the past week, sunny and breezy at times. I'm liking it. :) As far as any plans.... just surviving for now lol. Trying to save some money for a car which I desperately need, and for a bridesmaid's dress and other stuff I need to get.
