haha. Well done, Sir.

Ok. I'll play.

Though a woman may capture my interest, I develop deeper feelings rather slowly. My limited experience with dating after my divorce has shown me that women want to move more quickly in a relationship than I do. I feel like I am a crock pot in a world of microwave ovens.

Feel the same Cat. After my divorce I waited 18 years to remarry. Very good analogy!

Stick it in the slow cooker. You know, I can understand the need to spill all the cards on the table.. show the hand... see if the person folds or stays in the for the crock pot.

I'm 43 now and I have found I share all my issues up front. Which terrifies guys. My need to share or spill has really tamed itself down but it's still far more than most are willing to deal with.. perhaps they think it is just the tip of the iceberg or that my closet is full of a graveyard of bones... Multiple Skeletons waiting to crush whatever man braves the closet door.

There's a guy that's showed mild interest in me for a year now. He goes on Hiatus and when he come out of hiding... he's all about me for a couple days then he disappears again. Sadly, when he comes out .. I'm still here.. completely available.... He messaged me once and asked if I was bailing on him again. I said Yep. I'm gone.

I am not in any hurry with the dude, it's just c'mon... at least communicate once a month... or something .. throw me a bone for my closet lol.

Too many slow cookers, don't got time for that. It's almost 6pm and I have things to do. Can't wait around for ever until dinner is done, and go hungry. Doesn't mean I have to go out and buy the $5 hot and ready pizza, but come on. Give me a break. With all this technology, there must be a better way to get a good meal in a reasonable time. Ugh, whatever, I'm gonna go to Starbucks.

I am starting to believe that my sub-consciousness thoughts mirror my conscious thoughts.

I think I'm starting to realize that anyone I would admire enough to want to be with, I would also question why on earth they would want to be with me. And while I begin to tire of my nomadic life, I wonder if I'd enjoy a settled one or if I'd get itchy feet pretty quick. Then again, when I'm always leaving home temporarily, I never have really had to mentally leave home. Leaving with permanent intention seems rather daunting sometimes. Oh and did I mention I love paradoxes and contradictions?

I believe that home is where the heart is. What you have written is a contradiction in terms but you already know this. May your journey take you to where you really want and need to be. God Bless You.

Good luck in your search for another crock pot. I have been on simmer since 1979 and recently found my Sunshine. There are other women out there that are crock pots too. Keep praying and you just might find the right model for you.

I would love to say something that may or may not contribute, but my subconscious is telling me otherwise.

I am starting to believe that my sub-consciousness thoughts mirror my conscious thoughts.
The fact that "thoughts" exist, and "sub-consciousness" exists, but that "sub-consciousness thoughts" does not...makes my brain hurt. Subconsiousness is a noun, not an adjective. Also, being aware of your subconscious thoughts makes them conscious, not subconscious. Therefore, EVEN BEFORE YOU VERBALIZE THEM, the moment you are aware of your subconscious thoughts, they immediately cease to be subconscious.

This is a delightful post.

Uhmmmm. I wonder if I have subconscious thoughts? Aren't they the stuff dreams are made of and I rarely dream? Is it because I am a blond and haven't learned to use them yet?
