The age old question, if you knew you were going to die soon, what would you do with the time you had left?

Would you spend those three days with family, would you spend them by yourself fulfilling your dreams, would you fight to find a way to live longer?

For those who want to go a little deeper, what would you specifically do for the kingdom of God and to spread the good news of the Gospel?

I'm curious, because I once heard someone say, 'Plan life like you have another 50 years ahead of you, but live like you could die tomorrow' (Or along those lines). Do you think this is a good look on life?

I'll start, first day, I would probably street evangelise like crazy. I would do things I would never do, something like stand on the tables at McDonalds and preach and passionately shout out aloud my testimony or something crazy. I would then probably just hug a lot of people, and tell them how loved they are, lay hands over and pray for randoms.

On the second day, I would probably want to create some crazy open worship event, invite several churches to this one park or soccer field and have a massive day filled with worship and music. I love music, I would want it to be so loud, it drowns the whole suburb. I would just dance and sing all day, that would be pretty neat.

Third day, I'd probably want to spend that time alone in some quiet mountain scenery. If it was my last day, I would want to whisper to the Lord my fears, tell Him how much I love Him, and that I'll see Him when I'm home.

I admit, I would spend most if it in solitary prayer, but I wish I would be the type of person to do what you have proposed, and go out with a worshipful, evangelistic BANG!

No offense to the OP, but should we not live as if it's our last hour? Jesus didn't tell me He will be coming in three days, He told me He's coming like a thief in the night. :)

Now back to the original question, I think I would kiss the girl I like without hesitation maybe

Oh man, that's true. The intensity has amplified dramatically. Quick, someone get me to McDonalds! Lol

Spokenpassage, you have exactly seven days to kiss that girl. If I check up on you in seven days and it still hasn't been done, expect a very, very angry private message about how angry I am at you for not plucking the courage to kiss her. :)

I'm just trying to provoke some courage in the poor lad by being extra bossy, hahaha (Not exactly fine strategy, but I get my 2c worth of amusement). I think women deserve a romantic story and to be pursued and adored. I don't know who that special person is to him, but all I know is she is deserving and worthy.

I would spend my last 3 days with family and share the gospel one final time with unsaved family members. I would certainly be in much prayer. I would not be reflecting on personal achievements in my life and the only thing that will matter in those final moments is who I loved, who loved me and what have I done for the Lord.

Hmmm...this is a tough one.
I've done all the street evangelizing before with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) on the streets of NYC...been to Haiti to help out missionaries there that my church had supported back in the day,as well as used to street evangelize in my own town & play out with my own heavy metal bands & do stuff with my church at the time with our praise & worship group out, marched for Jesus when that whole thing was big...I dunno...all that kinds of stuff I sort of covered between the ages of like 18-27. I've never had a problem with just openly talking to people about Christ,so maybe with 3 days left to live I'd take a break from that. lol I'm teasing, who knows...maybe God would put someone in my path that really needed to see someone on the verge of dying with a positive outlook, who knows?

I don't have any family anymore (other than maybe a few distant cousins I haven't seen since I was 7) so,spending time with them isn't an option.
If I had the $$$ maybe I'd hop on a plane & go visit some fellow CCer's that I've always wanted to hang out with.

With 3 days left to live,it doesn't give much time to start a dog rescue,so maybe I'd ask a local shelter if I could help out.

Much would be dependent on $$$,because I always wanted to visit Japan & New Zealand but looks like that's not gonna happen now that I only have 3 days. lol thanks a lot Arlene! :p

Because I have a soft spot for you, you can have 3.27 days. Just because I'm feeling rather generous tonight and all.

I'd spend the time watching reruns of The View. It would be the longest 3 days of my life.

Good question but shouldn't the real question be Should I really be living my life ANY different just BECAUSE I only have three days left to live?

If 3 days... I would tell my family good bye. That is all.

And yeah, would love to kiss that girl too!! lol. ;)

I DO have something I have like for next 3 days or next 30 years of my life (am 49), I want a few of my designs become reality before I go. And yes, I already have a will made out specific what they need to do when I am DEAD! There are requirements! Long story. That is all I am gonna say for now. And not kidding on this part. The kissing.. is a joke.

Well, it depends. Being faced with the sudden awakening of our mortality usually stirs something in people, and reminds them of the preciousness of time. Its easy to forget about the possibility of death and to keep pushing the important things of life to the back burner, until we are reminded that our lives are like vapour, like a breath.

I would like to be that person that made every moment count, that lived each day to the fullest. But I can't say I'm there and everything worthy to be done seems to better done tomorrow than today.

I don't think people should live in reckless stupidity because they knew they were going to die soon, but sometimes we need a rude awakening to remind us how much more we can do in the moments we have, how capable we are to make an impact and make it count in the here and now.

I would pray, definitely. Then I would spend my time with family and doing whatever God wanted me to do during those final hours of my life. Also, I'd head over to an organization that helps wounded troops and donate all of my money.
