Dear future husband:

I want:

1) A big house

2) Two cars

3) A big salary for you.

4) Short working hours for you, so that you can help me at the house and with any kids

5) You must like heavy metal at high volume

6) You must not pay music I don't like

7) You must not snore

8) You must learn not to be disturbed by my snoring

9) We must go to a church that I feel comfortable in.

10) You should learn to be patient if I don't like the church we go to.

11) You should be a humble, God honoring, Bible reading believer like me

Sincerely, Your future wife

PS:....this letter could still use a little re-drafting.

Dear Husband,
I write this letter because the internet was full of cheese today...
I hope we don't live a content life,
I hope that we do not own cadillacs or live in a three story house with a pool in the back.
I hope that we do not grow weary of practicing righteousness
And searching out people that need the Lord's love.
I hope you do not love me more than God
Mostly because I would go insane if the above would happen.
Also.. beware that I do not desire to have confidence in my flesh, so beware that I fear that I may become more inconsistent than I already am.

How come she's 'out of his league'?

(Did I miss something?)
Not saying 'he' is. Just the picture afterwards made me laugh due to my sick type of humor.

the photo is from star wars attack of the clones. The girl is, Amidala, queen of the planet Naboo. The boy is anakin a slave who was freed because he had jedi powers. So technically yes...extremely out of his league.

Hello, my darling. I did remember to pick up the Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Cherry Garcia right? Oh, oh, another night on the couch for me! I must need additional training. Good ice cream though.

Hello Everyone,
I got the idea to write some encouragement to that special person which I've never even met or know. If others are interested you may do the same, I would take this time to search the scriptures and honestly ponder what you would tell someone during a period of time when neither of you know each other and are seeking God so that you may find him or her which is hidden so well in Him. :)

Okay... here goes...

Dear Future Wife:

This is not a random love letter. While I do not know you personally while I write this, I wanted to tell you how much I have thought about you and what you might be like in light of scripture. Knowing that you are already born again through Jesus Christ - It is my heart to give you encouragement on your Christian walk until the day we meet.

Indeed - Who can find a virtuous woman? Proverbs 31:10-31 describes your characteristics. I have met several people in my short life time on earth already which have fallen short of this description - because their mouth did not speak wisdom and their beauty was vain. They proclaimed Christianity, but with time they fell away from the faith and their tree failed to bring forth good fruit (John 15).

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. - Galatians 5:19-24

May you continue reading the scriptures regularly (Acts 17:11) and strive to do everything which is written in therein (Joshua 1:8). For the time will come when you will need to stand up for your faith. Do not compromise.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. - 2 Timothy 4:2-4

Many will try to cast doubt on your faith and the Bible. Do not doubt God's inspired Word - for without a solid foundation there is nothing to turn to in a world of secular relativism. The bible is absolute.

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. - 2 Timothy 12-17

I pray it is not too late and that you will continue to abstain from sexual immorality (What Does the Bible Say About Abstinence?). From Hollywood to MTV the perversions in this generation abound and try to sway our mind to diverse lusts. But you are set apart (What Does the Bible Say About Being Set Apart?).

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. - 1 John 16:17

Do not give into the provocative fashion trends. True beauty is from the heart..
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. - 1 Timothy 2:9-10

Think on good things that you may keep your heart and mind.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. - Philippians 4:7-8

Please remember the true meaning of Love...

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
- 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a (NKJV)

Together, our house will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15). I pray that some day we will cross paths, but until that day we must not our Love for the Lord grow cold - we must endure to the end!

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. - Matthew 24:12-13

Love God First. Share the Gospel.
I will wait for you. I ask you only do the same for me.

With all my heart, <3
Your Friend In Christ ✝

Who are you planning to marry, the Church Lady? You will certainly not attract a wife with a letter like that. Send me a PM and I will give you some pointers as I have experience in such matters. The last sentence was really profound as you will indeed be waiting a long time.

Dear Future Wife,

Come to me soon or I will be forced to find you, knock you over the head, and drag you into my cave.

Also, the ibuprofen for your headache will be located just to the right of my wall mural depicting a mammoth hunt.

Woman,

I don't know who you are as of yet, nor do I know God's plan, but I hope that he finds you a decent husband for you and a decent father for your child(ren). I can only hope that he will provide for you. Honor you. Protect you. Pray for you. Feed you. Push you. Tease you. Make you laugh. Make you cry. Make you wonder. Surprise you. Kiss you. Dance with you. Sing for you. Tolerate you. Adore you. Cuddle with you. Adapt for you. Adapt with you. To lift you when you fall. To laugh at you when you fall. To house you. To clean you. To walk with you. To talk with you. To drive you crazy. To frustrate you only because he's a man. To try for you. To fail for you. To succeed for you. To bake you a cake. etc, etc, etc... To be all that he is, to do all that he can, for you. You know? To love you.

P.S. You don't have to make him a sandwich. Buying one from a shop is just as good. ;)
