Don't feel bad brother - I put my picture up 1 day and lost 3 friends! Look - Being a part of this Body of Christ somehow or other helps transcend our love for others past a lot of faults and helps us find beauty that emanates from the soul. Not only that, but you look to be a pretty good guy and one of those people that at some point in your life, a guy like me will end up calling ....sir.

Try not to have the attitude of it'll never happen for me because ___________. Be confident in who you are even if you have to pretend. As long as you act confident people will think you are and will respect you more. Odd as it sounds people will often think whatever you show them. God bless.

It was a bad picture! I didn't have the usual spark in my eyes because it turned out the flashlight I had in my ear was off.

I'm 30 and still single. You can learn a lot about godliness from marriage, but you are also more free to be a minister for God if you are single. I mean that being single allows one more time to spend with the lost, hurting, and broken and where as having a family takes time away from that.

Pray that God will show you who to marry one day, but don't let that be your main prayer. Ask God to show you what to do with the time you are given right now, being single.

God bless you!

I am a Red Wing fan myself. Get a haircut son! There is no reason why you cannot have a girl friend. Pray for God to build up your confidence and self-esteem.

Try not to dwell on it to much my brother. Yes, being in a relationship is a wonderful thing, because you get to spend time with someone who's company you enjoy. But on the other hand being single has its advantages too, such as being able to spend more quality time with Christ and actively working out Gods will for us.

Absolutely.

I never have to explain to anyone why my socks are in the freezer, or why I have 7 half-finished cups of coffee on my desk.

Fan, nothing wrong with your looks. Sometimes it just takes a while to find someone. I find personality to be the thing that most draws me to someone. Funny, crazy, fun to be with, can laugh at himself, shows confidence and kindness... these are things that can attract women to you regardless of how you think you look. Chin up! Like Pipp said... BE who you want others to see.

Kenthomas, I loved your picture! Put it back! :)

I'm on the train for kenthomas to put his pic bad up! It wasn't a bad picture. In fact, for some reason I thought it was from a movie, you looked deep in thought while driving a car. Which, apparently...happens a lot in movies, in my mind.

FanofJesus, do not worry. Can I tell you that you'll have a girlfriend some day? No. I'm not God, and I don't know that. I do know that there is more to life than what your relationship status is. I'm sure that relationships can make some things better, but they also make other things more difficult. They certainly don't "fix" much of anything.

Use this time of being single to draw near to God. Find your identity in Him. Easier said than done? Yes. Impossible? Definitely not.

I'm turning 22 in a few more weeks and I never had a girlfriend just like you but I never actually thought that being single is a bad thing. I graduated with honors last year in a degree of Aerospace engineering and I think, I won't be able to receive such blessings if I had a girlfriend. Well, I'm praying for the gift of Celibacy so I can continue to devote my life to God but I'm not closing my doors to marriage. A piece of advice. God won't give you something you're not yet ready for. Loving a person is a big responsibility, so if God thinks you're ready, I think He'll let you meet the right girl. Try to read Joshua Harris' I kissed dating goodbye. :)

REMEMBER (1 Cor.7:32-35)
32 I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairs—how he can please the Lord. 33 But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife— 34 and his interests are divided. An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord’s affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world—how she can please her husband. 35 I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord.

Long lasting relationships aren't built on looks... But the heart goes a long way. Even scriptures say that beauty can be deceiving but a woman who fears The Lord is worthy to be praised :). And I'm sure that scripture can be applied to men as well.

I am not confident about my looks either by our society standards, but what I am discovering is that the closer I draw to God the more I start to perceive myself the way he sees me - and I tell ya - God views you as such a beautiful child of his! The more I draw close to The Lord the more beautiful I feel and this starts from the inside and then exhibits itself outwards.
