I have been here for just over one week. I am not new to chat forums or christian dating sites, so I have seen the formats of various web sites. This site is very user friendly and of good design. I can see from just this short time on this site that it consist primarily of younger adults (17-29). I think it's great and awesome that these young adults are here on a safe site making friends and talking about our Lord. I have seen people in the Bible room but other than that everyone congregates in the lounge. I have noticed from going into the other rooms that there are never any people in theses rooms. That obviously speaks volumes as to the use of these rooms. Unfortunaltey it's a waste. I think that there could be better use of these chat rooms and they could serve a valuable ministry if the administrators of this site would respect the request of the individuals of this site. The individuals of this site know what their needs are, and they certainly know, like any consumer, when their needs are not being met. I have seen different requests for a "womens room" , "over 40"s room, etc. and the request seem to be ignored. I happen to believe that a "womens only room" would be a valuable ministry to the women who need solace and privacy concerning isssue that only women can understand. It is worth honoring this request. I certainly am not suggesting that every room request is valid as I do believe that if it does not honor God then it should not be.

In regards to my own request. I would like to see a 30-40"s room or a 40's and older room. or both. I have been privately contacted by memebers in my age group who are just happy to connect with someone their own age group ( I am 47 years old). They have expressed this verbally to me and one member said to me they "wished they had a 40's over room". I agree! Many older people come into the chat room, just like myself and they just want to enjoy discussion with someone who is on the same age level. Now....you tell me with honesty if a 17 year old wants to converse with a 47 year old on a consistent basis. NOT! I have a 15 year old and I love him dearly but he wants to interact with kids his own age. I realize that the older generation can teach and instruct the younger, and I am sure that is happening on this site. The reality is that there is a generation gap, which is normal and acceptable. And sometime we older folk just want to connect with people of our own age.

So administrators..please respect and consider the requests that the individuals are presenting. There is a reason for their requests and they are worth considerig..just as mine is. Thank you for your time. Anna

I agree. You bring up some good points. I'm sure being thirty five myself I go through different struggles dealing with faith , everyday living than what a 25 yr old could relate to.

And of course, to some of you, us 35-year-olds would be the horrible youth of today... :) So, if we do have a room for us "older" singles... what are we gonna do? Sit around and complain about each other?

Just kidding!

In all seriousness, I've seen some great suggestions here but we also have to realize that it takes time and money to run this site, and the moderators and administrators, as far as I know, donate their time and energy here voluntarily and free of charge.

My personal suggestion, to go with all the other suggestions, is that every time we come up with a suggestion for the administration, we should also make a donation to help keep the site running smoothly. I haven't been here all that long and they've already made several changes and improvements... it's an ongoing process that we need to support in all ways--with feedback and suggestions, yes, but also prayers and finances! (And no, I don't work for the site :). I just think this way about any service, especially one that is voluntary.)

My parents are certified Christian financial counselors who help people develop budgets, work their way out of debt, etc., so I am always thinking of things in terms of cost/expenditures and what we, as Christians, should be doing as our part in the work.

Good afternoon everyone. I see a theme happening here with some of these replies in regards to bashing the younger generation.. I hope you're all just joking around and having some fun...hhahah...you know with the Christmas spirit and all upon us. :D LOL Please don't misunderstand my post or request, it explains just what it explains. Same generation discussion in one room (for us seasoned folk) and the younger generation are sure welcome to pop in for a talk if they like. But you know most kids, they don't want to hang with us old people......we know nothing because we come from the land of the dinoasaurs??? :) And please do not bash our youth God loves them just as much as he loves you and me.

Now in regards to seoulsearches suggestion of financing a request such as mine. Can anyone tell me how much it would cost the administrators to change one of the room names to "40's and over". Another women commented that at this point only the Lounge and Bibly Study room are being used. So why not change the name of one of the other ones already in use?

Hi greatkraw. there is a bible study room already and it does get used if that's what your looking for. When you are in the chat area and are chatting wtih others, if you look in the upper right corner of the chat box you will see the word 'room". If you click on that you can arrow up or down to join the rooms. Hope that helps. Anna

Last time I was in the bible study room the leader was freaking out and acting all wierd. He mentioned how he wasn't married. He scared me the way he acted and I see why hes not married. Don't think I ever been back there since.
