This idea comes from Fenner's experience venturing off from The Singles Forum (the fool! J/k :) )
Throughout the years, we have been called many things, not so nice ones, to put it lightly. Here is your chance to vent. Trolls, extreme statements from off-the-wall Christians, and just plain mean things to say towards fellow brothers and sisters.

I can start:

I've been called a c*** in a thread for calling out a troll
I've been called an apostate against the Church from reiterating what I've learned in my Christian History class regarding the Catholic faith

Thats about it for me.

1) lesbian feminist that should "check out the LGBT boards" - ok this one makes me giggle. prior to this, no one has confused/accused me of such silliness.

2) a woman with a jezebel/feminist nature who will suffer judgment at a later time. ooohkay then.

i should point out that the same person said both of those things.

Hmm. Maybe just a disclaimer 'liking posts' doesn't mean that you are in agreeance with what had been said

Oh, many things. Too many to list.

A troll (Um, I hunt trolls and I'm not particularly good at it)
A heathen
A Satanist
The Father of Lies
A witch
A compromiser
A brain-dead Christian
A fundamentalist
A YEC (I am)

A despicable, woman-hating monster and much worse
(by a couple of young, beautiful 'women' who PM'd me to tell me how cute I was and that they wanted to get to know me more. When I responded respectfully and said I wasn't interested, they cursed me and slandered me in the forums and were really sexual and their fruit was seen by all. It was scary but rather ridiculous. I didn't think there was much chance of them being young, let alone women).

1. I was called a Gold Digger because I listed Joseph as one of my favorite Bible characters. I later wrote a thread entitled, "Now I Ain't Sayin' She's a Gold Digga" in response. That's one thing I can about the insults I've received here... they make awesome ideas for new threads!! ;)

2. I haven't been called any names in particular (at least not publicly, but I'm sure the opposing parties were thinking things they didn't write down) but, similar to Gypsy, I've been accused of being the UnSubmissive Jezebel because I'm not "humble" enough to listen to everyone who automatically sets themselves up as an "educator", "teacher", or "expert". I was taught that a person's spirit can be a lot more important than what they have to say. I don't pay attention to anyone who is "self-proclaimed" and takes on a haughty attitude towards others, no matter what their education or experience may be. I had a mentor who was as highly educated as any of them (or more) and had a sweet, humble, encouraging spirit that I always look for in someone I can learn from.

3. There was a male poster a long time ago who publicly wrote (yes, in capital letters), "NO WONDER YOUR HUSBAND LEFT YOU." I admit. That hurt the bajeebers out of me. But, I tried my best to brush it off and move along. (This was a very long time ago, but I remember TinTin and another user wrote something in my defense, which I am ever grateful for.)

Ugly called me a butt.

Some how I really can't see that. Not even when he's mad. (Wait, does he get mad?) However, I can see him trying to poke you and push you in the pond, cause he's mean.

I think anyone who uses abusive language should be told to shape up or ship out. And if you feel like you have to call people names, obviously you must be losing the argument.

I get annoyed at people who see everything as a primary issue and if anyone has a different view it must be that they aren't "real" Christians. There is a thread about the age of the earth and some are saying you can't be saved if you don't think the earth is 6k years old. I don't want to bring that discussion here but really - the age of the earth is a salvation issue?

The age of the earth isn't a salvation issue but it's also not a side issue. Let's not go there in this thread. Cheers.

I am so sorry- especially about number 3. That is terrible, I am glad that people defended you.

Haven't been called anything just yet. At least not that I know of and if I was called anything, you can tell how much it actually processed for me to even care.

Now to apply that in the real world...

I've been called...

a man-hater (for disagreeing rather passionately with a man)
a self-righteous adulteress (after sharing my story in an effort to help a woman avoid divorce)
a self-centered, boring attention seeker (after starting a zillion threads)
an ignorant, prejudiced, high-school drop-out who tries to hide my lack of education behind a strangely impressive knowledge and use of the English language (after disagreeing with someone's stance on abortion and maaaaybe correcting their spelling and grammar...)

Most of these...made me laugh.

People have called me Taith.

But really, I have not been called much on here. Besides weird and crazy.
But reading the things above, its so sad that there are people who would call and do such things. Especially on a Christian site.

Now real world... That is an entire different story...

Well I think every free thinking woman on here has been accused of being a feminist at some point, including me. I'm getting called cinderface a lot in chat these days but mostly only by two users (you know who you are). Really all that makes me want to do is use some good photo editing software to cover my face with cinders and make that my new profile pic or something.

I think people generally know not to call me too many names because I have the philosophy that if someone has to resort to name calling they have no argument worth listening too. And also I start saying things they have a hard time understanding like I'm going to make a courtesy call to their proctologist to see about getting their cranium removed from their posterior.
