We've all done it... bought something we really didn't need because we couldn't resist buying it for one reason or another.

So tell us.. what did you buy and why? Don't be shy! :)

Small USB refridgerator. Keeps one can of soda at chill level, or a few baby bell cheeses. Uneeded... but ya... :p

I do this all the time...usually it's little stuff like...glitter....nail polish, frappuccinos, pens.

I bought this beautiful brown suede jacket one time...

I'm not a jacket person. If it's chilly or cold out, I'll wear a hoodie, or a sweater, or a thick winter coat that I kinda disappear inside of. But this jacket was sitting there in the window of this boutique downtown, and it caught my eye so I stopped to look at it.

And it SPOKE TO ME. "Criiiiisten...come inside and try me on...you know I'll fit perfectly..."

I had no choice. My will was weakened by the sheer glory of this jacket.

It fit perfectly.

It felt fabulous.

It smelled like heaven...or temptation...

It cost $375, marked down from $500.

Of course I bought it. Duh! It was irresistible.

I wore it once, left it in my closet for a few years, and then gave it to a thrift shop.

Most of the time I'll purchase out of boredom so not so that I am cannot resist, or that I want 'something'- which usually means I want a feeling to return. Trying to create conditions in which it will be favourable. Books, scents, candles, lighting, room decor, teas, flavours, temporary hobbies. Or going to certain places: coffee shops, sushi restaurants. Stuff like that. Trying to cultivate it. Doesn't always work. Chasing the past. Cus the nostalgic feeling is just so bloody wonderful, I want to relive it. It's all very stupid.

Books, books and more books. On Kindle, paperbacks and hardbacks!

Wait, I NEED books to grow, to escape from the world, to learn languages, about history, geography, science and every other thing. I just trust books for knowledge more than the internet.

And besides, a book is a friend. But I do have too many books, I cannot lie!

12-bar pack of dark chocolate with crushed espresso beans in it...

I still have 0 regrets. It is delicious, and if it continues to be sold by the time I run out, I will consider buying again. :p

Then there were these holographic fish stickers that I found were REALLY cool looking. And they were a dollar. Come on, super cool stickers for a dollar? I'm sold.

No. Never. Yet I still buy the junk.
It's probably because A) They TRAIN those people on the commercials on how to use it properly and B) They probably make a more resilient or higher quality product specifically FOR the commercials and then what we get is like its lame sibling. :p

Empanadas!
My friend's wife handmakes and sells them weekly. They're delicious, but very fattening. They're both very sweet people, so I don't mind shelling out a few bucks and sacrificing a little bit of my waistline.

Yeah, I bought a book on Partial Differential Equations just to realized, why on God's good Earth did I get this thing in the first place??

...a couple of months later, another "Diff E" text book joined the shelf. Oh boy...

I also have a strange obsession with yoga pants and capris. I own about 30 pairs.

I go in book buying and reading spurts. For a few months it has been Car Jung, Freud, Personality, the Unconscious- all that good stuff. Bought tons of books read half of them, flipped thru em. Lost interest. Wondered why I bought them in the first place. Lately, it's been all about The Holocaust. Survivor stories. Resistance stories. Non-fiction stories of the occupation of France. But sometimes I will buy books for the sake of buying books.

I bought a Burberry scarf a couple years back for a decent amount, that I have only worn about 5 times in 4 years.

most things i buy outside of food and toiletries are unnecessary, but it ddoesn't mean I don't enjoy every minute of them.

Bread Machine, little sandwich grilled, hair waver, my hair is already wavy, air hair curler, various curling irons, tons of useless hair products. Eye shadows, tons of nail polish. When I sold Avon, tons of perfume that I never use, a million purses.
