I thought the truest form of love was sharing your bacon.

Why is the truest form of love lying in my heart? Like, who or what is there to lie to? Why is it just lying there? Can't it clean up a bit and just not be so lazy? And why doesn't he look at me anymore? *sob*

Nope, it is enduring watching The Notebook with your significant other. That is love.

Wise thoughts from everyone.

I believe the truest love does indeed lie somewhere between sharing your chocolate and sharing your bacon.

This kid knows:
"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love." Rebecca - age 8

First thought after seeing the question:
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. (ESV)

The truest form of love is God who is Love. Love expressed in Christ and his sacrifice.

To be honest and grave, without a humorous remark, True Love is found in God (Agape).

lies within your heart
True. Taking it a little deeper, the Father chose to send His Son, and that Son then showed us how to love, and then further demonstrated love by dying on a cross for our sins that the Holy Spirit may dwell in us so that we now have the power to demonstrate and live out the love of God.

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
-Eph 3:14-19

The truest form of love is within the heart. But careful, the heart can be deceitful. (Jer 17:9)

The truest form of love is eternal.

not so much the love of the film, but moreso probably the fact that Ryan Gosling is in it...not a huge fan of his, but he does make that film just a bit more bearable. Even if it is only marginally so.

the truest form of love lies within your heart
I have a couple questions now that I got the jokes out of my system:

1) When you mention the heart are you implying that the heart = to the spirit or mind/soul?
2) And when you mention love are you using it as a metaphor for God?
