Which side do you choose? tea or coffee? can you pick both? Absolutly not this is war;b
i used to like tea but then one day I wasnt paying attention and made the waaaaay to strong and now i literally throw up if I drink tea at all sorry for the details lol. I am now a coffee lover and detest tea, I thought it might be funny to have a playful thread of tea lovers vs coffee lovers.
So pick your poison and see who can prove which is better tea or coffee, I am not responcible for the bloodshed that might occure as this is very serious stuff

Coffee in the morning when tea won't do the trick.

It usually goes like this:

Tall Cinnamon Dolche Latte (sometimes double espresso), or if fall Pumpkin Spice Latte, or if Winter Peppermint Mocha
If especially poor: Coffee at work: 2 Cups
In the afternoon or evening throughout the cold months I enjoy Tea. Either Genmaicha Green Tea, Lavender Tea, Blueberry roobios, or a pack that has combination of rosehips, valerian root, peppermint, chamomile leaves to help relax.

i love genmaicha tea as well! but since you're sharing, i'll give you a few of my faves:

+milk oolong (no it doesn't have milk in it)
+mangosteen green tea (stash) - amazing iced
+coconut pu-errh (republic of tea)
+rose petal black tea (republic of tea)
+watermelon mint black tea - iced tea (republic of tea)
+dragonfruit melon green tea (lipton) - sooo good iced

as to coffee... i do drink it (and enjoy it), but i tend to view it as recreational or supplemental, not a daily habit. people like me don't need that much caffeine all the time. : )

Tea. Hot, Red Rose brand, with a touch of milk.
When I have a cold I drink Green Tea with honey and cinnamon.
When I don't want caffeine I drink my Chai Tea that I got at an Anchorage tea shop.

I rarely drink either sometimes it coffee at church on sunday morning, other times its unsweet tea at work. But if I go to starbucks I get a chai tea latte with a shot of espresso mixed in. I guess I'm just going to be a double agent this war.

coffee in the morning, French pressed dark roast -

1st cup has to be black.
Any subsequent cups - a lil bit of real cream and vanilla infused stevia
Occasionally make an ice coffee or homemade frappahoozy for myself, but usually make those for the kids.

Tea -

On mornings that I don't do coffee (a rarity), I will do earl grey, Engslish breakfast, or orange pekoe...something with a caffeine kick.
Summer afternoons - iced mint tea, green tea, ginger...I mix and match sometimes when making sun tea. I will also order an iced tea (unsweetened) if I am doing fast food. I am not a big soft drink drinker (unless it's ginger ale).
Evenings - any herbal teas. If I use any sweetener (which is rare), it's honey...usually with a lemon or ginger. Mostly I prefer unsweetened because so many are naturally sweet anyway, roobois (I spelled that wrong), blueberry, cinnamon spice, etc.

Chai - a whole other category. I do sweeten this and add cardamom (and sometimes other spices) and milk during the preparation. Occasionally, this replaces the morning coffee, makes for a nice "comfort food" tea when friends gather, and is also great iced. You can also use it to enhance spice cakes and pumpkin pies.

Making sun tea even as we speak, er...type. I can't wait for the Fall when I usually start drinking hot tea more. :).

At home, coffee black. On the road, coffee with cream. Dunkin' Donut coffee is especially good, double espresso with cream. I am not a coffee snob but I know a good cup when I taste one.

Did someone say something about a war? Real guys drink coffee. That is just how it is. I probably should switch to tea.

Iced tea on most occasions, when you can pry the Dr Pepper out of my hands. (One of these days I'll break that addiction.) If I drink hot tea, it's usually cinnamon tea.

Tea, in particular green tea. I have some nice varieties of green tea. Chinese Green Tips, Japanese Sencha and Matcha. Japanese Kukicha (roasted tea leaves and stems - okay this last one isn't green tea). No sweeteners or added flavors, just plain tea. I probably drink more tea than water. I never liked coffee and seldom drink a soft drink.

If there was no coffee...

all businesses around the world would collapse overnight.

I believe the antichrist will establish a "new world order" by banning coffee.
"When thou seest no coffee in the markets, no thou that the end is nigh."

Hmmmm

If I have to pick a side, it's tea, .... but to be honest I like both, and when I'm at home in Norway I drink way more coffee than I do here (here I don't have a brewer, so I only get instant coffee).

I always have a cup of coffee at work (wit some milk in it). When I have coffee at home it's always black, unless I make latte. I cannot stand sugar in coffee unless it is latte/cappuccino- ish stuff.

In the evenings I go for tea. While coffee doesn't wake me up, it does make my thoughts a bit too random.
I normally have my tea without sugar, but sometimes the sugar craving gets the better of me :p

PS: I found a recipe for milkshake recently which suggested adding a bit of espresso- YUM!

Ice Tea all varieties straight up no sugar or sweeteners.

Don't get me wrong I am a southerner at heart, and love sweet tea, but my waistline not so much.
Hot tea the same way but only in the winter, and always straight up.

Current favorites are a white peach tea and Long Island strawberry green tea.

I think everyone knows by now that I am a tea girl. Black and herbal teas as I don't like green tea. In the summer it's black (plain or with fruit flavorings) or fruity herbals iced. In the winter it is hot spicy stuff or anything that goes well with added milk (chai tea, rooibus, strong black breakfast teas etc). Some favorites include:

Stash tea:
Double spice chai
Christmas eve
Spice dragon red chai
oh and I recently got a sampler of their guayusa tea stuff for those days I need extra oomph and it's pretty good.

Celestial seasonings:
A lot of their fruit blends and zingers for icing. Also their rooibus blends (madagascar vanilla red and morrocan pomegranate red)

gypsy introduced me to the republic of tea website and I might order some of their stuff next time I'm in the states, but for now I have to make due with what I have with me.
