lately i've been doing much better overall, but i've made some mistakes recently ( of course i fall short often... as most if not all of us do. )

i realize i'm not a ' popular regular ' on the forums and that i haven't been around very long on here or very consistent with posting, and maybe you all don't know me that well.

the thing is, i'm feeling a bit defeated today. i have things that need to get done, but my spirit is restless and my soul is feeling confused. i'm feeling low and down on myself.

i've also been quite lonely.

i just thought i'd say something, in an attempt not to feel so isolated and alone.

if anyone else is feeling this way or somehow feels led to say something, by all means please do.

thank you and God bless.

Don't worry, I'm sure plenty of other people feel the same. Including me.

Free hugs, anyone?

It´s somewhat hard to hug when we are limited by the distance of short and evasive arms, the distance of a reluctant isolation, the restless heart of a hermit love... But you never did something wrong I would say: "I don´t like her" because I missed you a lot and now I know it wasn´t you, but someone I think I needed; but I´m learning to live at emotional distances, my selfimposed isolation, etc.

Hello my sister.....ive been enjoying your posts ...your actually someone who I stop to see what you have to say......
The other day I went by work ...I haven't been there in a long time as my injuries kept me home....
....a young lady that they had hired
while I was gone came to me to thank me.....thank Me.....to be honest I talk so much to so many people it
seems I have forgot meeting this girl...She told me she had been a customer and because of something I
said made her look differently at her life....and some other flattering things.....how she started church ...got a job...
I was amazed ....we all know what ever I said was from God....and He is who she should thank......
my point is....I touched someone who I didnt even know I did......im sure the same goes for you.....
So my sister....we thank you for your kind post and quick wit....they hear you whether you know it or not...
Keep helping us reach Gods people.... you add something unique to this site....
Peace ......jo

You can count me as your friend, Lav. :) I'll pray for you and I also know what it feels like to be lonely and feeling unwanted and stuff... I mean I get reminded of that pretty much every night, but like the scripture says...

weeping endures for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. (psalm 30:5)

God bless.

For me, the best solution for those kinds of times is trying my best to NOT dwell on the negative. Find some way to get the mind to a different place. It could be spending time with God, reading the Bible, listening to music, a hobby, anything that busies your mind. It can be a learned discipline that is really helpful the better you get at it. I'm not suggesting avoiding problems, but avoiding and dwelling on are two different things.
As for the lonely part...I don't think people can truly fill that. I think it's possible to be in a room full of people and still feel lonely. Only God can truly fill that when we are content with Him....and it will only be perfected when we are with Him for eternity.

Here are some scriptures that come to mind that you might consider:

2 Corinthians 4:7-10New King James Version (NKJV)[h=3]Cast Down but Unconquered[/h][SUP]7 [/SUP]But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. [SUP]8 [/SUP]We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; [SUP]9 [/SUP]persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— [SUP]10 [/SUP]always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

Jeremiah 29:11New King James Version (NKJV)[SUP]11 [/SUP]For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Romans 8:35-37New King James Version (NKJV)[SUP]35 [/SUP]Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? [SUP]36 [/SUP]As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”[SUP][a][/SUP]

[SUP]37 [/SUP]Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

If you're into music, I think the song "More Than Conquerors" by Rend Collective fits perfectly here. I'm sure you can see why.

If that doesn't show up right, click here.

I pray God blesses and keeps everyone out there not feeling the greatest right now.

You are not alone.

In fact, I was feeling totally defeated today (to the point where I didn't have the capacity to feel lonely haha) but was invigorated, AGAIN, through the worship service - it's His renewed mercy and grace and His faithfulness that sustain me.

One thing I do when I'm down is do something that causes me to laugh out loud.

So take courage my friend and let's keep at it and keep moving forward!

thank God for you all. i wasn't expecting so much relief. it feels like the calvary has arrived. praise God.

if i sound emotional, which i'm pretty sure i do.. it's just one of those days and i'm really grateful. sometimes it feels like we're on the front lines and we need to know Christ and his body of believers are still here, and have not gone anywhere.

zeroturbulence

:) thank you. ( perfect scripture. )

niceguyJ

i agree with what you said.

i am going to work on studying and then later spend some much needed, undistracted one on one time with God. i'm also planning on watching some comedy to cheer me up. i will not dwell.

the care you took to write means a lot. the scriptures shared are right on.

it's clear YHWH is the only one who can deliver the companionship we really need.

also thanks for the great song.

:D

" So take courage my friend and let's keep at it and keep moving forward! "

amen.

i'm tired and i didn't mean to go overboard, but when the body of Christ stands up and reaches out to me when i need it most, it usually brings me to tears.

everyone on this thread has made a difference.

I find that I am usually feeling down everyday now too. I am lonely as well and it seems like this year my life sort of imploded. I am sorry that you feel defeated. I feel like that sometimes but I know that God is always with me and he is with you too. I think that you are plenty 'popular', at least you are in my eyes.

Here, let me give you a *hug*.

Oh, I need to get stuff done too but that is a little hard to do being depressed. I will start getting stuff done tomorrow. I will start by making a 'to do' list. At least I should be able to do that. You might consider making a list too. Every week we will cross something off the list or at least every month. I'm sorry, talking like I am defeated again. We'll be OK.

Some Lavender for Lav:

You've been on my mind a lot this week, and I think you're coming along fine. :)

It is a real shame that you can't smell the lavender though.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Pain is just weakness leaving your body. Do what I do, cram it all down deep inside you and ignore it. I've been doing that for five decades. It works great but there's this ticking sound though and I don't cannot find its source. It's gotten louder over time.

Lolol...
