Before I opened the thread, I assumed it was going to be about what age range makes you swoon. haha

yeah, i'm not sure what to think of a girl who bets over extended, basic hygiene. i'd have to be REALLY (over) confident before i took that kind of a bet.

or maybe not ever. or the stakes would have to be reaaaaalllllly sweet.

yeah, that's one quirky girl. : D
I've gone a little over a week without showering, and honestly I didn't smell bad. All the ladies were swooning so much, every time I walked by they were dropping like flies.

FWIW, I've always had a thing for brunette's.

I find Dr. Owen Hunt swoon worthy. Especially around 1:10...

- when he smiles at me from across a crowded room
- when he does cute gentlemanly gestures and leaves me feeling like such a lady
- when he wears his well-tailored formal outfits for the rare dressy occasions we may attend.
- when he plays with children, soothes their tears, (or better yet) successfully subdues their anxieties in that delicate moment right before they break into tears and screams.
- his excellent posture. He carries himself with a modest confidence.
- when he is kind and respectful to everyone he encounters
- when he is especially loving and respectful to the women in his family.
- when he shows tremendous love and respect for Christ, the Church, and the Word.

As most of you know, I have but one man in mind when I list these things, and the true list is much, much longer.

I'm not swooning...

That's because you're a hetro male. You're not supposed to swoon at Dr. Owen Hunt.

Oh, and ladies, the actor himself has an accent. Yep. It's wonderful.

maybe there's something terribly wrong with me, but i have major difficulty swooning over men that i don't know. who don't know i exist. like actors.

eye-candy? oh yeah, check!

swooning? nah, that's reserved for someone who can at least fetch my smelling salts. ; p

maybe that's my point. guys are swoon-worthy when you see extraordinary moments or rare qualities in an ordinary guy.

not unlike when the sun's rays dance upon something shiny among the pebbles in the creek bed, illuminating something rare and special. something that's unlike everyone else, even in some tiny way.

and it can be so random...so seemingly unremarkable. but the way it catches my heart (or eye) delights or touches me in some way.

like, the kind of unflinching eye contact that can bring a flush to my cheeks. or he asks me a question that looks deep within me, because he knows the answer already. or just some unabashed vulnerable honesty, maybe accompanied with nervous laughter.

now, my friends, is swoon-worthy.

But see, I know that character. He's been on for many seasons now. I don't randomly swoon because some guy saves the day. I don't randomly swoon because some handsome guy smiles at me. I save my swoonage for someone who deserves it.

-A guy who genuinely likes cats

-A true admiration for creation. Like the kind where I wouldn't have to tell him to stop talking and just look at the stars, or to tell him to stop and see that "Whoa that's a really cool cloud!", he just would.

-Playfulness

-Gentleness

I could list more but I'm tired and should really be in bed. :)

- Paul Walker can make me swoon but he is gone now. :-(
- the beauty of nature because it makes me feel closer to God
- expressions and gestures from people that can pull some heartstrings - a smile, a compliment, a helping hand and everything in between

Just in case anyone out there is wondering what makes me swoon :p :p :p

A woman who's into sad old love songs
A woman who appreciates beautiful photography
A woman who shows great compassion for others, especially for the elderly
A woman who loves airplanes or is into cars
A woman who surfs or just loves the beach
A woman who actually gives 2 cents about my feelings...
