This thread was inspired by Jilly!! What would you do if you had 10 billion dollars or unlimited cash I guess. I'm curious to know how you would all spend your fortunes. I would have to say I would spend a huge chunk of it opening orphanages and homes across the world to help kids and adults alike. I would provide education and food to the needy across the world. Perhaps get myself a few books and invest so that the money can keep growing so I can sustain all those orphanages and homes. I would also vainly purchase any possession of Edgar Allan Poe. :D

I would finally get my church....open as many battered womans homes as I can.....helping abused women get on their
feet...giving them and their children a safe and happy place to begin their new lives.....job training and child care...
oh that would make me richer than anyone.......I would probably internally combust with joy......

I would quit my job as a barista!!!! Then I could devote my time to school the way I'd like to. I'd pay off my debt. I would have the money to take a woman out on a date. To finish it off I would buy myself a burrito from chipotle with extra meat because I could never afford that previously.

If I had unlimited money, well I guess that would actually make money worthless since whatever price anyone wanted for anything I could pay and I could give away as much as I wanted without any lack. Maybe I could keep it a secret long enough to help people learn to be less selfish and start straightening out the world. But before I get too far out there spinning what if scenarios how about a normal answer:

Fund research to support biblical positions and refute godless humanistic ones.
pay off my parent's house and give them a good chunk so they could retire
give my brother a nice chunk of money so he could afford to pursue his dream career properly
buy a nice house and car for me
Help other family members and friends get necessary medical treatment
Travel the world some more

ok I think I can spend my 10 billion with those plans, especially with all the new "friends" that suddenly having 10 billion is likely to attract.

Ten billion... a good sum. A million isn't really a lot of money these days. Ten billion is much better.

I'm reminded of Solomon, who was asked by God Himself what he would like. Where most would think of what they wanted, Solomon's first thought was his duty to lead God's people, and his concern that he would not be able to lead them rightly. Make a wish...

That's too much. I just want enough to pay off student loan, get a better car and a home or a condo or nice apartment. Even 100,000 would be good enough. Mo money mo problems.

Mo money mo problems... mo lawsuits, mo family you didn't know you even had, mo people walking on the sidewalk in front of your house and "accidentally" slipping and falling...

Honestly, I would love to have a house and a pool and horses again. And set up trust funds for my kids. And retire. But I would have plenty of money to help others and organizations as God led me to do so.

Would spend 95% on the poor and those who are truly in need. I believe I could live comfortably on a half billion dollars.:)

I would pay off debt, help my family, friends, church. I would buy a bigger house. Not super big but one with at least two bathrooms would be nice. I would travel to Europe, see my family in Sweden, then go explore other countries. I would love to go see the famous artwork in Italy and France.

I would help local families get back on their feet

First of all, cool thread! Good choice on Poe's possessions too. I live pretty close to where he did a lot of his writings, so he's kind of a local hero.

I don't think I would give huge sums of money to those less fortunate. I think I would acquire tools and machinery of all types, and teach people how to create things. It seems to fit best with all the Biblical principles, and I wouldn't want to just turn a neighborhood of impoverished people into a neighborhood of bored millionaires. But to offer fair employment, and to give someone the gift of accomplishment, seems to be the best thing.

(Also I'd get a faster computer and a nicer camera.)
