Beauty Tips taken on inspiration

GUARANTEED TO MAKE YOU BEAUTIFUL 100%!!!

#SenseOfHumor

1. Go to a third world country where people don't have basic needs and amenities. Give up all forms of luxury and stay in a hot, open room with no AC.
There, go looking for people who have nothing in their lives. You won't have a hard time finding them.

2. Find leprosy affected beggars lying on the road. Pick them up even though their flesh is rotten and hanging. They probably have green teeth. Wipe their pus infected wounds.

3. Pick up the poop from paralysed people. When they're dying and thirsty, give them something to drink.
Tell them that Jesus loves them.

4. Go and argue with corrupted officials to let them get you medicines and try to convert an abandoned Hindu temple into a hospital.

5. Stand in front of a street, where people are stoning a diseased man, and shield the man with your own body as they throw stones at you.

6. Face angry Hindus and people who hate Christians, as they try to bomb your shelters.

7. Pick up children from the dustbins, abandoned. Make them their own.

8. Tell a dying person, as they hold your hand about to head off, that you love them. Because Christ loves them.

Ew. But why? I like my easy and safe life. Isn't my external beauty all I need? My money? My house? My income? I like hanging out with people that make me feel good about myself. I like knowing my fake friends are there to inflate my ego. :(

Matthew 4:19

Jesus called out to them, "Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!"

1. Use the car God blessed you with to drive people to church, grocery stores, doctor appts, etc.
2. Use the home that God has blessed you with to shelter abandoned children and care for elderly/dying relatives who are too frightened to go to a nursing home.
3. Use the income God has blessed you with to help build churches, schools, buy food/clothing, support missionaries, pay rent/utilities for others.
4. Rather than gagging at gnats online, use your time wisely to witness to the lost, teach Sunday School/Bible studies, visit the sick or take them a cup of soup, help an elderly neighbor with yard work and other chores, provide child care for single parents who could use a break, take a few minutes to listen to a child/teen/troubled person who needs the love of God...who needs to know that someone cares. :) There are people in need of Christ, love and compassion right outside your own front door, not just in other parts of the world. Bloom where God has planted you. :)

No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.

We need to be very careful about judging people by what they own/don't own, where they live and who we perceive their friends to be. Every blessing we have comes from the Lord for His purpose and His glory. Hopefully, we are looking to God and not man for approval and are wisely focusing more on how we are living our own lives than the lives of others. :)

Thanks Julliana.

I agree with you. There are so many people - broken and hurting in every country. There's just so many opportunities to be beautiful :)

Hmm... how to make yourself beautiful eh?

Smile more. It makes your face beautiful more effectively than any makeup and people will be more willing to talk to you.

Choose good influences over entertainment. Sure that reality show is interesting, but how is it affecting you? What you choose to watch and listen to really does make a difference. (Related protip: Avoid arguments in a certain other sub-forum.) ;)

Be a peacemaker instead of a trouble starter. Jesus wasn't kidding about them being blessed.

Talk to people more, watch TV less. Just trust me on this one, it really does work.

If your church has an elderly widow lady, give her a hug sometimes. You'll both benefit from it.

Focus more on what you have and less on what you don't have. Paul wasn't just talking through his hat when he said he had learned to be content.

Ignore what you can't do and do what you can. You'll be surprised how much gets done. And those around you will be impressed.

There are other ways to make yourself beautiful, but it's too early in the day and the caffeine hasn't hit my bloodstream yet.

He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him....

Isaiah 53:2-5

He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

Beauty Tip - We can exchange our ashes for His beauty.

Beauty For Ashes (Isaiah 61:3)

HE GAVE ME BEAUTY FOR MY ASHES,
THE OIL OF JOY FOR MOURNING,
THE GARMENT OF PRAISE FOR THE SPIRIT CF HEAVINESS,
THAT WE MIGHT BE TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,
THE PLANTING OF THE LORD,
THAT HE MIGHT BE GLORIFIED,

in the current economic climate there is a lot of poverty at home, i am not saying we should not extend our help to other countries but i am saying that a lot of good can be done at home. it is the spirit that you help with not the things you do. i can do the smallest thing for someone with a godly spirit which may mean more to that person than say a big donation.
