1. What is your current job?
2. What is your dream job?
3. Why is that your dream job?
4. What's stopping you from obtaining your dream job?

This is just out of curiosity.... Silly replies, serious replies... all welcome...

My current job is a HR Officer.... Dream job? Archaeologist (but I'm taking like an Indiana Jones type of thing)... Why? Travel and play in dirt??? lol...What's stopping me? What if it doesn't work out and I end up broke:confused:

Currently I am retired. But worked for a Stock and Bond business for 25 years as an administrative assistant.

However, I am in the process of starting and owning my own business from home called "Darlene Things" which are hand crafted items + more. This will be my dream job as I get to do crafting of my choice, sewing, quilting etc... The hours are great anytime I want to work day or night, I can work in my P.J.s, if I need a day off no problem, the + more is anything I want to sell to get rid of out of my house.

Only thing that would stop me or slow me down is laziness and not producing items to sell. I enjoy doing these kinds of things so I don't see a problem.... Oh and I save on gas too since I am not driving to work...who could ask for anything more?

Lol, nice!

1. Youth Director & Barista @ Starbucks

2. Musican, because I'd like everyone to hear my music & Pastor, because it's what God has called me to do

3. Stopping me? Time, money, personal issues, a lack of discovery/skill... But hopefully the latter dream will come true.

*honorable mention*. I love people, places, helping, and change/variety, so missionary work sounds pretty great, too!

I work in a restaurant as a cashier/waitress right now, and I'm also a JR High leader at church . I think my dream job would be being a full time missionary somewhere or working for a charity. I have also considered pursuing a nursing career (for the same reason). I don't believe that I have to have a job at a church in order to serve God, but I would definitely love working directly for a church. I love being around people and finding myself useful to others.

What's stopping me? I need a license if I wanted to be a nurse, or even for other career options I need a degree, which I'm working on at the moment.

I think it's great that you are working towards it...

Current job: Working on the grill at McDonald's. Yeah it sucks, but the coworkers are nice at least.

Dream job: Cashier, anywhere. Won't happen at McDonald's because I'm not a pretty young lady. That's all they put at the counter, for obvious reasons.

Why is it my dream job: I once was a cashier, and it was the most fun job I ever had. If they could have guaranteed me 40 hours a week I might still be there, even at minimum wage. You meet so many neat people.

What's stopping me: Er... no place to go really. Though a friend of mine is talking about opening a coffee shop here, so that might be an avenue.

Nah, too predictable. Everyone says that when they find out you work at a fast food factory. Try for something more inventive. :p

I thought you said you were a pentacostal minister. Or am I confusing you with someone else?

I am a personal care aid.
Dream job is own my own bakery.
Why? Because I love to bake and create using cakes as my blank canvas.
Why don't I do it ? I'm needed at my current job, I don't think I'm organized enough to run a business to be honest and I need a little more skill.

I don't think it's impossible... If you love to do it, practice at it... attend short courses... And then you can design and bake my wedding cake...Yay!!!!:D

I am a minor minister, not a pastor. Gotta have a secular job to make money. I don't get paid for what I do at church.

I hate the job I have, data entry. I don't even make $24,000 a year to support me and three kids going to school. I have never had a dream job and cannot imagine having one. I once stayed home with my kids and that was a dream all my life. To not be a working mom like my mother was. Now I wish I had a degree in something, even if it isn't a dream, so I didn't have to rob Peter to pay Paul every week to pay bills. I feel pretty stuck and know that at 58 I am too tired and stressed at the end of each day to take any classes so I can better myself. At this point I would love to meet somebody I would one day marry, or for there to be another way to retire. I'd rather do volunteer work than go to a job everyday.

I'm a party entertainer and a children's ministry director.

3. Why is that your dream job?
Working with kids, making people happy, being creative and appreciated, having a flexible schedule, and spreading the gospel to children.

4. What's stopping you from obtaining your dream job?
I'm doing it now. :)

1. What is your current job?
Stay-at-home Mom/Nanny

2. What is your dream job?
Small-scale sustainable farmer

3. Why is that your dream job?
Lots of reasons: I would get to play in the dirt, grow what we eat, raise animals of all kinds, breathe fresh air, finally have horses, be my own boss, improve the soil, live an active lifestyle, and have a family business to leave my kid if they should want it.

4. What's stopping you from obtaining your dream job?
Lack of time, money, and skill. But I'm working towards it, slowly, but surely.
